M Maverick Member May 3, 2005 #1 So my HD crashed a week ago and I got a new one, and installed Itunes and everything, but now when I connect my ipod it isnt recognizing it. what should i do? and how do i transfer all the music on my ipod back over to my laptop?

Click to expand... You need a 3rd party application. Ipod's regular software won't let you do that. In fact, be careful because you might wipe out all of your mp3s if you are not careful.

K Killthee helped a brotha out on multiple separate occasions! May 3, 2005 #3 You'll need to use a third party program before using iTunes to transfer the music back. Try looking for one at ipodlounge. To get your computer to recognize your ipod I believe you need to install iPod Updater.
