I've had my mini connected to my PC's USB2 port for a couple of hours , and it's been displaying the "Do Not Disconnect" message the entire time. is there a setting that will allow me to browse my iPod's contents while it's charging?
the only way a can get rid of the message is to eject the iPod from iTunes.

It just says that while you are connected, you can still browse in itunes etc, it's just a warning so you don't disconnect without either ejecting from itunes or stopping the device from the "safely remove hardware" thingy in the system tray.

That makes sense. After you eject the iPod, and you bring it back up in iTunes without having to pull out and reinsert the USB cable?
