I think I just came.

This is along the lines of what the next gen iPod better fricken' be. No more milking people out of money for a modest size increase and half-assed photo viewing ability, Apple.

No harddrive? Hmmm. But wow, an iRiver that doesn't look crappy. I actually want it...

Well I'll wait till Apple annouces their next iPod in September. If it only supports QuickTime and not DivX, WMV... it can rot in fucking hell.

i wonder what battery life would be like with a screen that large and with so many colours.

Yeah, looks like they've finally got the whole design thing down. I hope this newfound design competence extends to their audio-only players (and bring back OGG playback, guys!).

Depends on what they use for the screen; if it's OLED, battery life shouldn't be much of an issue. If it's LCD, we'll see. Looks fairly nice all around, but if it's not compatible with iTunes (not iTMS obviously), I don't care. Having used previous MP3 players and the accompanying software, my expectations are increasingly high, that extends beyond form. Not a whole lot of info on that page unfortunately.

Wow, that thing is sexy.

Don't see the point of video if it's only 1GB.

Should be at -least- 10.

I hope the rumored 5th gen iPods are sexy like this.

old pics, and the main problem is storage size... 1GB for a video player?

plus you touch the screen to navigate... it could get messy...

Don't see why they couldn't just have a stylus (with DS-like slot obviously). Looks a bit small for fingers..

OMFG!

and i really enjoy flash over HDD on these devices since i use them when i run and bicycle

You watch movies while you run and ride your bike? How's that working out for you?

I dont use the moviefunction while i run, but i use the mp3/wma.

And HD-based ones arent as good when it comes to that.
yah but you can get a 1GB flash player without the hugeass screen that you dont need while running for much less...

i mean, i could probably be considered an iriver fanboy and even i am not very keen on a 1GB video playign device that has control buttons under the screen...
