Kinda peeved at the influx of superhero movies... but this... LOOKS.... AWESOME.
 
If this is even half good a sequel is pretty-much guaranteed (see Elektra and FF 2). The only problem I see is RDJ passing on doing the sequel. At that point Val Kilmer will take over and be the star in a series of progressively worse sequels.:)

BTW, did they put Robert Downey in the suit actually?

When he's not being "Tony Starks bodyguard" he's just doing regular security. That's actually a huge maglite in his chest.

And I'm sure Robert Downey is in the suit most of the time unless it's stunt work.

After being burned badly by Daredevil - my favourite Marvel character ever - I am skittish as hell about this flick. No matter how good it looks or how appropriate the casting. Dare I hope?

You've got Robert Downey Jr perfectly cast in the lead, backed up by Gwyneth Paltrow, Jeff Bridges and Terrence Howard. You've got Jon Favreau directing. The shooting script's by Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby (who wrote, and the former directed, the sweet thriller First Snow). You've got Stan Winston behind the costumes.

Believe. I think the only Marvel movie I can say I particularly like is X2, but I'm really pumped about this one.

Also, I highly doubt we'll see Cap and Avengers in the same year.

I don't want an Avengers movie unless they can convince the actors from other movies such as Cap and Iron Man to star in it.

Make it part of their contract.

zomg Namor? Bah no ones got the balls to do the classic namor on film, that was a bad man right there, had everyone scared. Would be nice to see him in a FF4 or Avengers film.
 
Shit I was watching Natural Born Killers today and looks like despite getting himself in a lt of trouble last decade or so RDJ still looks in pretty good nick

Punisher was a really good earner for Lion's Gate, especially on DVD. Low investment, solid return, and from what I heard, everyone had a really good time making it.

Ghost Rider cracked a hundred and fifteen mill domestically and two-twenty-five mill worldwide of a hundred and ten mill budget, and it hasn't even hit DVD yet.

Studios like the modest moneymakers just as much as the big blowout hits. As long as budgets are kept within reason, the studios would be silly not to sequel these two.

Whatever they make, will go directly in the creation of the next movie

May end up being a major "push" at the end of the decade...we'll see
 
if marvel can put this type of care into all the movies that they produce themselves...i hope to god they can wrench x-men away from fox before they can do anymore damage with the planned spin-offs.

How do you think I feel, I love Spiderman! I grew up with that comic as my favorite, I hate Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker - seriously do :(

The films are okay but TOBEY!

I mean absolutely awesome origin story that comes out of nowhere.

Remember Batman Begins did not have a lot of hype and had a not so good opening weekend. Word of Mouth made that film rise!

People were badmouthing it and bashing it up untill it's release.
 
I'll say the same I said after watching that image in a Mecha forum... "OH MY GOD MY CHILDHOOD IS COMING BACK TO LIFE"

Also... I second temp's question, who's the villain? Considering it's a trilogy I think it's to early to introduce The Mandarin.
