Fear of heights + motion sickness = yeah I'll pass.

Sucks though, I'd like to enjoy them and I've tried a few, but yeah not my thing.

I know the statistics are super safe and all but I couldn't help but think I was gonna fall or go flying off into the sunset and die.

I could only imagine the image of a rollercoaster cart flying into the sunset, a la the plane meme.

I have acrophobia, but whenever I know it's because of stuff that isn't actually dangerous I can force myself to overcome that fear. This includes roller-coasters and they are fucking awesome!

hate ridding them.

its not the height or speed that bothers me, just the weightlessness feeling in your stomach from the drops

love riding roller coasters and ive ridden them so many times ive become immune to that feeling :lol :D

only roller coaster that freaks me out at all... i love roller coasters.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-y-0IFiZqY (skip 1 minute 10 seconds in to see the coaster doing something besides going up a chain lift).

reason its scary.... its already an intense track, but the seats also spin. so fucking insane. nothing can prep your mind for this.

X2 is amazing especially when ur in the front car and on the drop all u see is ground :D
by far my favorite coaster though one day i have to make the trip out to to cedar point to see ow the coasters their stack up to magic mt

I hate roller coasters; they make me feel like I'm going to be sucked out and thrown hundreds of feet into the air.

This video of the new Green Lantern ride at Six Flags almost makes me throw up just thinking about it: http://www.sixflags.com/magicMountain/rides/greenlanternla.aspx

OMG thanks for posting this im definitely heading back to magic mt this summer cant wait to ride the reverse superman and green lantern :D :D :D

I'm scared of roller coasters, but that's pretty much the point. I just can't seem to derive enjoyment from pushing my fear button. I've been on a couple of them, and when I was younger I really wanted to like them due to peer pressure, but every ride has been an entirely unpleasant experience for me, so I just gave up on trying.

I find it much more fun to go with friends, but wait on the ground with people's bags and cheer for them. Funny thing is, whenever I insist on staying on the ground, at least one person always seems to chicken out and thinks it would be a good idea to keep me company. They step up to go only because they don't want to be the first one to admit they want to back out. I've had two complete five-man groups suggest riding the coasters, but then every one of them bailed with flimsy excuses after I declined.

I don't like hardcore horror movies either. Some of the weaker stuff though, it's a neat feeling. I can get why people like it.

Absolutely love roller coasters. One of my most exciting moments in life was being at the top of the drop on Millennium Force at Cedar Point.

This man knows what's up

the only scary thing is the , wait in the line, the build up to the big drop at the start, then the big drop , after the big drop is over its a blast from there

Love rollercoasters, despite my fear of heights (I have a fear of bridges too, over or under). Don't know why...

Drop towers, however -- My cousins got me to go on Acrophobia at Six Flags over Georgia this past summer. The name is a hint. It's a gyro drop tower, I think 200ft high, that raises you to the top (as you spin) and then drops you. I only remember praying that the brakes caught before we hit the bottom. Oh yeah, I remember the fall too. :\

Coaster preference... The air time is what I look for, don't care much about inversions. Goliath is air-time heaven! Ninja is just as rough as ever, and Dahlonaga Mine Train fractured my knee cap.:lol
