Is Hogwarts Legacy for $27.99 on the Nintendo Switch 2 the best game to get for launch?

Maybe best value depending on your personal calculation. I don't think the price makes the game better or worse.

For people who may not have played it before? Absolutely. I just don't know how much replay value it has. Game needs a sequel bad.

getsing upgrade because cheap buuuut best game?? ahahahahah game is crud compare to some other stuffs

Deal lasts just 5 more days ($17.99 + $10 upgrade for switch 2 features).

Anyone play and beat this game on the regular switch in portable mode (the mode I will be using on my switch 2 95% of the time). How did it play?
I'm playing it more lately with all this 1440P talk. I don't want to get too far in, but it plays fine through the beginning. I've just about caught up to where I was on the Steam Deck. I play entirely in portable.

Fuck no, why would you not go for one of the new exciting experiences the hardware offers.
If you haven't played this game already, you're probably not bothered about it.

I haven't played it yet. Is the game good enough for someone very neutral on HP to care?

This is what I'm wondering. I don't have any interest in Harry Potter, but I do like fantasy and open world RPGs, and it's tempting to have something to play at launch besides Mario Kart.

There aren't many new experiences available on launch for most. Donkey Kong would have made for a nice launch title. Fortunately i held off on playing Tears Of The Kingdom, so I'm looking forward to that. Maybe a lot of other people did as well.

I think peoples are sleeping on Fast Fusion. Shin'en is always stellar and you get a new experience that always defines a new launch day nintendo generation and its only for $15.

It's the game we don't notice until we browse the eshop for the first time and it gets seen and purchased because there are only 25 games there

I thought there wasn't an upgrade and that it required a new Switch 2 version?

It's a decent game with loads to do, but it get's repetitive quickly especially if you go of to do the side stuff.

such a fucking bland game..
i will take Streetfighter 6 and cyberpunk instead bro

Gotta be Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour then.

Not a HP fan, but exploring the GIANT castle and whimsical town and all is fun to me. Flying around on a broom stick is pretty cool. Combat is nice. Tons of side quests and classes to attend to learn your magic and what not.

I'm not a big harry potter but the world is really nice to explore. You get magic and upgrades at a nice pace. You get a broom you can use to fly around in. There's a lot of things to do and see and mysteries to solve.

If you like open world games, if you like exploring and figuring things out, if you like looking around for collectables, if like fantasy/castle settings, if like different seasons in games, if you like colorful cast of characters, if you answered yes to like 3 of these then get it. Its worth it for that price.

Even if you like open world games slightly, I'd say get it. Its the price of a few specialty lattes or 3 meals at McDs! Its fun, the world is designed really nice and the castle is really fantastic to just run around to try to find its secrets.

Yep. I want to get back to it myself actually. I liked just exploring the castle, then at night I would use "luminuso" or whatever it's called and walk on the beach and admire the scenery

Absolutely for anyone who likes open world RPGs, and im baffled by anyone who says otherwise. The world is rich and well crafted, you dont even need to be an HP nut to appreciate that. You can tell a lot of love was put into it. Im not an HP fan at all and had an incredible time with it.

10$ upgrade for the switch 2? They confirmed that?

If you haven't played it, sure.
I'd still go with Cyberpunk over this one (assuming you haven't played it either).

As others have said though, Mario Kart for $50 (in the bundle) is the obvious choice for a launch game though.

It's a decent 7/10 game that gets elevated if you are into HP. The story is nothing special and the world is your typical Ubisoft checklist design, but the missions (both main and side quests) are pretty fun, the combat is enjoyable (if a bit simple) and the presentation is great. Visually I think Hogwarts is one of the coolest locations in any game this gen, they put a ton of effort into making it feel authentic, with a lot of little details all around.

If you are into the universe, it's fantastic. The game work fine and everything is good enough for you to just enjoy your time. And no other game is as good as this one.
If you are not into the universe, there's probably a lot of other game as good or better.

I really hope we can get an Hogwart Legacy 2 which improve the formula because i feel there is a great game potential.
