Hogwarts Legacy - Switch 2 Face-Off - Digital Foundry

Street Fighter similar to the PS4, Yakuza similar to the PS4, Hogwarts similar to the PS4. (Resolution is usually much lower actually, but DLSS makes up for that). This is all docked, portable is worse.

Looks like DF wasn't that wrong after all.

The same SF6 that looks better than the Series s?
Yakuza runs at a higher resolution than PS4.

I mean... yes... you just rephrased what I said...

I don't remember you saying what Oliver said about 'ARM CPU being the bottleneck.'

NS2 have a hardware advantage over the GPU yes, but CPU not necessarily.

I think he said what you said, but with different words

You guys should watch DF video in 0.50 speed.

Base PS4 with DLSS. Yes. And people attacked Oliver for saying that.

This is pretty much the usual Digital Foundry hate/love relationship.

Third-party support is so massive that these doofuses are still tinkering with this… wizard game? A game they didn't even cover at release because of some made-up bullshit?...zero integrity

Street Fighter 6's visuals are better than Series S as per DF's analysis. Yakuza 0 doesn't have a next-gen version so only the PS4 at the end which has been ported.

Same for Cyberpunk.

Hogwarts is the exception here, not the rule

Im not surprise if switch 2 struggles to run new games moving forward lol
Yes, that was clear from the beginning. It'll do more or less what the first Switch did. Get a couple impressive looking ports in the beginning, and two years in tops no publisher will bother crippling their games to downport to this thing. Nintendo just don't give a f, as people still buy their shit in droves.

It's almost like they know what they're talking about

People have zero comprehension for what I said. Graphical settings for the games I mentioned are identical or closest to the PS4. Yes, DLSS allows for a sharper image quality (which DF also said), but the underlying graphical settings themselves are closest to the PS4. Street Fighter 6? PS4 settings (missing sub surface scattering, no muscle deformation, no DOF, no SSR, absent particle effects, same texture quality, lower crowd density is all matching the PS4 but with much lower resolution + DLSS). Hogwarts Legacy? Speaks for itself, PS4 is the clear comparison point. Yakuza? Same 1080p/60 as the PS4.

Does this apply to all games? No, of course not, the Switch 2 has the clear advantage in CPU and storage speed over the PS4. But graphically the GPUs are surprisingly very close, with the Switch 2 having DLSS to help low resolution counts. No reason to get upset over clearly factual analysis.

sounds about right. the big open world games are going to suffer. but worse framerate than ps4 is surprising. the jaguar is faster thab s2 cpu in games. pr about s2 cpu was bullshit
I don't see any confirmation that these drops are CPU related. The Switch 2 does better than the PS4 in the traversal sections of Cyberpunk.
