Is it okay to spend money on things that help you cope with depression?

As long as you able to live right and pay your expenses nothing is wrong with spending extra money on things you enjoy.

What you're saying doesn't sound bad, but for some people it can be a really really bad thing. Watch the show "Hoarders." A lot of those people keep buying shit because it makes them feel better, and it slowly destroys their lives.

I say whatever keeps you going from day to day is worth doing. But yeah, you can overdo it too. If you start to find that you're hoarding everything, running out of money and/or room in your home, then that's probably a good time to re-evaluate things I used to collect lots of things, which kept me happy for a bit, but when that ran its course, I sold a lot of that stuff on ebay, gave stuff away or threw away stuff I was no longer attached to. It all worked out, because I was happy when I was collecting and also happy when I got rid of it all.

Just a side note, I recently turned 20 and have an internship that pays decently well. So like, I don't have kids that would go hungry or anything. My only bills I pay on time monthly (rent, phone, metropass), and I still have some budgeted for school. This is just extra that I planned to spend on like... clothing... which I'm no longer interested in.
Dude you have a job you pay all your responsibilities and have left over cash. Rock on collect those amiibos my amiibros

I'm very much considering Majora's Mask 3D to get me through Valentines Day, so yes I guess. I mean, if it's copious amounts of alcohol you drink in your room alone, probably not.
