Is Nando's good?

Days like these...

Have a Blessed Day
We're getting 2 in Houston. I'll have to try it.

Peri Peri fries are amazing.

Chicken quarter leg is the best ive ever had. the rest is ok. Their sandwich is decent but overpriced.

Yeah dude nando's is great. I wish I had a half-chicken right now…

I don't like it as much as others rave on about it.
It's a decent 6/10 for fast food.

Chicken salt (come to Aus) > peri peri when it comes to fries.

The absolute basic bitch of UK eating out.

Literally just some slightly spiced chicken and sides and yet it always has a queue of knuckledraggers outside an hour long. Mate, Nando's was never cheeky.

Ever since they stopped selling chicken livers I haven't been back. Can get better chicken pieces and burgers in other places.

It's fine. It's a step up from something like McDonalds but not something you'd go out of your way for. A decent option if you're looking for something to eat and there's one nearby.

With all the cost of living crisis
Get a George Forman grill. Some of their sauce. Some chicken. Griddle that shit then the if you have gas hob slightly char it. Microwave some Mexican rice form aldi or lidl. Job done
Also glycogen on the cob bbq'ed et

Or use a bbq ? Tu g you have one.

Nandos is good though but overpriced

I really like it, but I wonder how well it'll do in Houston. It's popular in the UK because there aren't a lot of other good chicken places here (it's mostly KFC and a bunch of fake KFCs) but I'm sure in Texas you can't move for great places to eat meat, so I'd imagine Nando's won't stand out as much, unless its reputation elsewhere makes it more popular.

Ive only been to Austin but I think the fact that the its grilled chicken and not fried chicken will help it stand out.

Most BBQ places in texas are known for their beef bbq, and nandos peri peri sauce and juicy chicken is just leagues ahead of the bbq chicken they cook.

Ive been to Nandos in Chicago and D.C and it was always packed years after they opened. Once people taste it, they will know its the real deal and will keep coming back. Especially since its more healthy than most fast food trash like popeyes and kfc.

Don't eat it for about 3-6 months and then have one and its quite delicious. Usually half a chicken, extra hot marinade with wild herb sauce. Chips/garlic bread and salad.

I like their chicken wraps with a side of their fries, hot and fresh made, plain no sauce or spice. That's a good meal.

Both KFC and Macca's use chicken salt. Who's gonna claim that they are better?
Can't confirm KFC but I doubt it does. But Maccas absolutely does not.
I'm a frequent eater there and occasionally they'll offer the shaker fries in chicken salt but it isn't the same as a proper fish and chip shops chicken salt.

I feel sad for you guys over in WA. We've obviously neglected you too much. More so than Tasmanian it would appear.

If you can find it try the below but really you need to go out and find a 10/10 fish and chip shop.

This'll be my last post on the salt though as we've gone off from the original thread.

Nando's is great. We lived close to one in Sydney, now we moved way north and the nearest one is around 3 hours driving, oh my heart yearns.

Make sure you get the hottest level they do, it is flavourful but still super tame.

Speaking of spice, I wish that Turtle Bay (a Jamaican restaurant chain in the UK) would come here too :(

Cheeky edit: I concur with all of the love for chicken salt, that stuff is mind blowing

Next you'll say that you put vinegar on your chips as well.

The place itself, ehh, it's ok, but their sauces, great, and it's really easy to recreate their dishes at home once you have them.
