I have recently become part of 2 online communities on xbox.

Both are fantastic, very accomodating regarding your noobness, time of play etc.

You just need to look at right places.

luxury! back in my day...we didn't even have gas lights or oil lanterns! we played in the mud and chewed on insects. our house was tiny and there were 40 of us in it with no furniture and half the floor missing. it was like living in a palace. young people these days don't know how lucky they have it!

if you don't like them then fine but lol they aren't what's wrong with gaming. some of the most popular games in the world are those kind of games. if you had said the predatory microtransactions, battle passes, gacha, dlc, currency, etc then yeah i'd agree but personally i find multiplayer, MMO, moba, and battle royale games fun.

i play games like Rocket League, Fortnite, Genshin, League of Legends and they are F2P. i go in and have fun. i don't buy any passes/currency or that.

Being old is fucking great......it brings a confidence in what you like and believe in that you don't possess when younger.Also,have you seen the absolute state of young people....check out Tik-Tok they are all fucking mental,lol.
 
The less i read about faking battle basses and season passes and smart currencies and live services and all this sh*t the happier i am.
Give me games with a start, a middle and an end. Then move to the next game or repeat one if you really liked it

I think these style of forums are just dated in general if I'm being honest. It's all anecdotal, but I'd bet the younger audiences are using social media and discord for their gaming discussions rather than signing up to a message board these days. A lot of us here have probably been using this format for a long time and much prefer it.

I know OP was trolling, but I was genuinely thinking about this stuff recently.

But I was born in the 80's and raised in the 90's, partied in 00's and it was soo good.
Now I find I'm mocking the new generation for the same reason I mock the older generation.
That's not how it's supposed to be.
We grow old, the new generation looks back at us and mock how we were and are now.
Not rip us off and wear clothes our parents use to wear while rocking a hair cut Rick Astley would be proud of, it's embarrassing.
To put it bluntly the new generation are kinda dorky and a butch of pussies with no common sense but a wealth of knowledge they learnt from Tik Tok & their woke college professor.
