I am not judging the character or the person, and she should keep wearing it if she likes it. I just don't find it attractive. That's all there is to it (for me). I am sure there are things that girls don't find attractive that I am wearing, and that's OK, too.
Not sure where you work, but definitely media or some studios have Bright hair, tattoos, piercings, mid-rifs on show, and guys wearing very tight shorts are no longer unusual, quite common. I do wish standards were raised again across all industries. Doesn't mean ties and high heels and clean shaved, but just... pleasant and presentable.
Not surprised media kind of companies allow it. That's where a lot of them work.
As for me, I've always worked at Fortune 500 kinds of companies. Your typical big company with offices around the world and the smallest regional office I ever worked still had at least 200 people + warehouse crew if the warehouse was connected to head office. That kind of rebel shit with looks and attitude doesnt fly. Even when US CEO is in town or high level guests from Walmart are visiting, a memo will go out a few days before saying.... "on such and such date, these people will be visiting at these hours. Please tidy up your area and do not leave any confidential info on your desk."
When you look proper, there's a certain amount of self respect and respect for others. Especially when it comes to office life. I dont expect a shipper and receiver to be dressed well getting dirty or driving a forklift. But when someone wakes up in office life looking like a rebel or slob, it's a CLM. Unless someone works in an industry which will accept that. Most wont. And if they do, most will skew to low end jobs like a cashier which doesnt really matter what they look like checking out your groceries.
If anyone doesn't believe me, that's fine. A good resume will get you a screener interview, but try it when you got a meeting with the screener HR lady getting a job at any banking/finance, legal/law firm, consumer goods company, pharma, energy sector, medical/hospital etc.... I dont know if even high level government jobs allow that kind of look.
Makes sense since that's a side nose ring, the crazy purple mental crowd prefer the nose ring that's in the center of their nose piercing both nostrils.
I'm sure there are many women with nose rings (and anime coloured hair) who are very sweet, awesome and competent people. My loss I guess since I do consider nose rings and anime hair a turnoff. I am married now so in that since I have no need to think of them in that way. If I ever have to work with them in some way I'll have to be mindful not to not let my judgement of their appearance get in the way of their competence.
If we use dating sites as a metric, then, extremely true. The photos and bio write-ups seem to always go hand in hand.

I've said it elsewhere and maybe here, that there is not one sinlge person on thise planet that looks good with a nose ring in. Facial piercings in general look bad. Nose studs are okay
