Is The 100 worth watching after season 2?

So a friend recommended this to me. I thought season 1 was very good. The setting, the ark and its inhabitants and their arrival on earth. It was well done.

Season 2 was... ok. It had its moments and the last 2 episodes were pretty good, but there were lots of filler moments and some pointless story arcs.

I like most of the characters but I feel like the writers aren't too sure where to take the story next. Those who have seen the entire series, how are season 3 to 7 compared to the first two? Does it improve?

I heard the show dragged on way to long, but I don't think the problems started in season 3. If I remember corret, that season was more fondly remembered

I actually enjoyed the ending, and every season, apart from 2. Kinda rare theese days that a series get a ending, let alone a scifi one.

I watched the first episode, I'm usually pretty patient with shows that cast a bunch of unknowns, actors will develop over time and get better/more convincing...but holy fucking shit the pigeonholding of those characters, it's like Divergent all over again but with less of the anti-conformist social commentary.

It gets better after season 2. This is one of those shows where at some point in season 4 or 5 you suddenly think- wait a second, how the fuck did we end up here.

I'm assuming that your pigeonholes for 'genocidal sociopath' and 'vicious dictator' were the biggest because that is where most of the characters that survive long enough would fit.

Up until season 4 it's worth it, although season 3 has its ups and downs. After that, it's a mess. Season 6 had some good episodes, but my god, was season 5 bad, and season 7 was literally the worst.

But considering I loved season 2, maybe you'll love those seasons. I just think the bad writing jumped out in season 7 so badly...
