It's a beautiful game with a decent combat engine, but there are tons of other problems that really hold it down.

Agreed. i'm one of those people who'll buy a game at $10 if it's got great graphics or sound but lacking gameplay as a sort of "tech demo" for the system. Considering i got the first Rogue Squadron on Cube for $50, i'd consider $10 CDN a good deal.
