Is there anything more to StarFox Assault?

So I picked it up yesterday (traded in 10 old games I'd never play and got it and Wario Ware Touched for $20), and I beat the game in four hours.

Is there anything to unlock in the game besides the multiplayer levels and Xevious?

4 hours? Well at least I don't have to worry about not finishing it.... :lol

I can't say for certain, because I haven't beaten it yet, but I bet beating it on Gold unlocks another NES game. There's a 3rd NES game in there as well. There's probably a Platinum level?

I am really happy with Star Fox Assault. After all the bad hype, I was worried it wouldn't be any good, but it's a lot of fun and the characters are as cool as ever.

Game just sounds kinda skimpy for 40 bucks - like an arcade game that had a direct-to-console release.

It doesn't feel like an arcade game at all to me... People seem to be forgetting that it's a shooter when complaining about its length. None of the Star Fox games are mega-long.

Assault has ten levels. I believe SF64 had fifteen, and some of them had multiple paths and secret events. And Macbeth. Assault has nothing that comes even close to Macbeth.

Yeah, this seems to be a case of diminishing returns like many of the N64 ---> Cube translations, but I can't say I'm disappointed with the results, either. It's still an awfully solid game, and I don't mind the controls or the foot / tank missions at all. They add variety, even if they keep it from being the true Star Fox sequel I would wish for.

I don't think replay value will be an issue here. I've only done 5 missions so far (just got the game today) and I am eager to replay those I've done as I am to see new ones. It seems well worth the money to me, but then again maybe $40 isn't as much to me as it is to some others?

Has anyone played it long enough to see if the other 2 NES games are in the US version of the game? I beat the game and returned my rental...
