Well news "this big" would get its own thread eventually, but yeah it was already mentioned in the Famitsu score thread...
 
Hmmm, a revamped Tekken Tag for PSP would be great. I'd rather they didn't try to cram Tekken 5 in there. Instead of blowing their wad entirely on visuals, they should use a fair amount of horsepower to make a playable game with a bunch of characters and a freakin' Infrastructure mode.

Tekken on PSP would sell.
Online Tekken on PSP would sell more. Who isn't ACHING for a good online PSP game?!
 
Going back to TTT would be horrible, unless it's a TTT/T5 hybrid.

It would be a tragedy if Tekken was online on PSP before a console.
 
Tekken 1-3 are way too outdated now. It has to be based on TTT at the least. I doubt anyone would actually want to play Tekken 1 now.

I want a T5 based game with a lot of new content. Put in some characters like Ogre that have been gone. An old game or a straight port of T5 would be boring and pointless.

This would seem to be the most likely choice if they have no plans to bring this to the ps2. Doubt they will want to make a new tekken game just for the psp either. I just hope it wouldn't be downgraded too much.

They'll save that for PS3 launch. I expect Tekken PSP to be more along the lines of RR PSP, ie: a sort of "best of" collection of visually updated content from T1-5.
 
I really hope it's not a crappy spinoff like the Nina Williams game. That would suck so much. :(

I want a real Tekken game! Hell, I would even settle for a PS2 --> PSP port (except Tekken 4) with added content and downgraded graphics.
 
Why would they take the 5 out of the title Tekken 5 DR?

I want DR on PS2 or PS3. Not some console exclusive tag game. Just straight DR just like at the arcade.
 
Alright folks, I'm putting my vote on a new/enhance Tekken Tag Team/2 on PSP. Why, you may ask ?! Well for one, any previous Tekken Title is either to fucking old (T1-3), or way to fucking powerful (T4-5/DR). Honestly who would want to see a Tekken game played out or downgraded to death on the PSP. Although I think TTT, fits the PSP Boat nicely. For one, TTT-PSP would not have to be part of the major Tekken title. So that means no serious worries about heavy CG Cinematics, or major plot outlines. This gives the game more freedom, in what can unofficially be added. Throw in the total roster of characters from T1-5DR, some better Tag Moves/Juggles, and possibily some Extra Modes (Create A Fighter, Tekken 4 Player Brawl, Tekken Force Portable, Tekken Bowling 2, etc..). Oh, and this shit better be *ONLINE* !!
 
I remembered that there was a rumor last year that both Tekken and Virtua Fighter will go to PSP this summer, so VF is coming soon ??

I do believe that any game that comes to the PSP is somehow not applicable to portables and a waste of money. :p

No, it's going to be Tekken 6 on PS3, at least that's what the early renders are showing us. I still want Namco to port Tekken 5 DR to the Xbox 360 in the meantime; no way is PSP getting it.

What's with people's hard-ons for TTT, anyway? Tekken works better as one-on-one. Anyway, wouldn't having four characters in memory in a 3D PSP fighting game be a bit taxing on the hardware?

How so? We saw a random clip of Jin and a generic Tekken logo with no subtitle or number.
