Is this PSP screen protector really that good?

I've heard from 2 people that this screen protector is the best one out there. Anyone else try it?

I thought I would get used to the smudging, but no, no I haven't, it eats me up inside! I hate letting people play it cause of the smudges.

Plus, does the $5 off coupon work on small purchases like this? If so, does anyone have an extra one? :D

Edit: One more Q, is it possible to remove and re-apply as many times as needed? Also, are air bubbles a bitch with this thing (bane of every screen protector). And does the screen protector only cover the screen or does it cover the screen and the plastic around the buttons.

Looking at the package it seems there are seperate stickers for around the buttons that come with it.

I've never even played a psp though so I have no idea on the quality.

I ordered one last week...That's the one most gaffers recommended me...Dunno if works very well or not because they haven't shipped my order yet...

I bought this one, it's alright, I had problems when applying it and getting the air bubbles out with the card. But if you're not looking to go all out and buy a casing with a screen protector in it I'd say get this it's cost effective and if you put it on properly it's good.

I personally can't vouch for that screen protector, and it's quite difficult to make a fair assesment of the quality of a product based on a screenshot alone. I can, however, tell you that the screen protector from Gametech works like a charm. I use it for my PSP, and I love it. Whenever I get smudges, I just wipe them right off.

Based on what I've been reading, the Martin Fields screen protector is the best, and is top of the line. Apparently it's a well known and trusted namebrand in this field (no pun intended), since the company manufactures screen protectors for all sorts of devices like iPods, cell phones, PDAs, etc.

Here's a pic of the screen protector that I currently use:

I personally vouch for this product, because it's cheap and works great. Also, here's a personal tip from me, to keep your screen extra clean. Buy some lens tissues. These are special square-sized tissues that are normally used to wipe camera lenses, but they also work like a charm when wiping the PSP and Gameboy Advanced screens.

Can't recommend them. I bought the $7 one at Play-Asia. The adhesive picks up dust instantly, and thus it gets ruined quick. I'm not the only one who faced this problem here, too.

Oh, and on another note, it's very important to do research on these type of products before buying them, because aside from them not working properly, they can leave a horrible sticky residue behind when you try to remove them. You DO NOT want this to happen to your system. Take it from me, I bought a Pelican screen protector for the DS, and it didn't work well and left nasty glue around the top screen of my system. I hate Pelican because of this. It will take me an eternity to remove that crap. Stick with a company that has a decent rep, and it will pay off in the end.

I bought that too, I can't believe they tried to pull that shit with the top screen. Instead of taking it off (making the DS look used), I left it on when I returned the system, they didn't even notice when checking out the system :lol

Yeah I had problems with it too. The thing is, it really did look good when I first applied it. No bubbles or anything. But then of course there was one piece of dust trapped under there and I just couldn't let it be. Since they claimed it was reapplicable, I got the dust out and tried to put it back but then even more dust got trapped under there, and it was all downhill from there.

Also, if you buy this product you can't use the play-asia 5 dollar off coupons... why I don't know. I ordered 140 bucks worth of stuff and they wouldn't let me apply a coupon, probably because the 5 bucks was more than half the price of the screen protector (WTF?!). Booo-urns to that.

I'd like to get a screen protector for my PSP, but it's insanity to have to keep ordering tiny sheets of plastic from fuckin Hong Kong multiple times plus overseas shipping every time I fuck up and get a spec of dust in there. And I'm a certified idiot, so I'm sure it will take me 10 tries before I get it right. I'm just going to wait it out until they get the protectors here for the domestic release and save my money.

Well...not that I want to consider your skills bad...But How the hell does a dust particle get between the protecto and the screen AFTER putting it ?

I understand you leave it there while putting it...But after ???

It got in there while I was applying it, but I didn't see it until afterwards when then screen was turned on :(

I'm really confused. How does this stop smudges on your PSP? Surely all that happens is that the protector gets smudged instead?

The problem with cleaning an unprotected screen is that there's always a chance you can scratch it a little during the cleaning. When there's only a risk to a slip of plastic, it's a lot less stressful to clean it, and you don't have to worry about scratches.

The real problem is the dust that seems to get in between the lcd and the outer shell. No protector can keep that out :(. Thankfully sometimes the dust works itself out eventually but sometimes it doesn't too...

I have it and it's awesome. I had them put it on for me at the store, and there are no bubbles and no dust under the screen. Recommended!

When i reserved my psp i asked the guy for a list of all the launch games there were getting. He messed up and gave me a list of all accessories launching with the PSP. Let it slide because he was the only one there and buttload of people were coming in. But anyway. alot of third parties are making accessories for the PSP, including memory sticks. So my question is as a secondary effect of the PSP selling will memory duo go down in price?

The one I have is less prone to getting smudges than the LCD screen (or it doesn't show as clearly).

Since i don't have a PSP but will on the 24th, i'd assume it's more to protect from scratches than smudges.
