I played Halo 2 ONLINE with my boys here at college for the 1st time last night, and i found out something rather disturbing...

Every game we won, we ended up talking shit just to make it fun, and every kid that had a mic would say "stupid niggers"...and then signed off. This became funnier when at least 10 other people said the same thing basically.

All we said was "haha we beat your ass" or something like that. It's sad that people still have that racism in deep down inside of them....sad....

Daddy, what do you mean when you say you had to talk shit to make it fun? In no way is racism right, but I've been on both sides of the hate. Being in a room full of ignorant white kids is just as annoying as being in a room full of annoying black kids. Many times I've been the only non-black person in a lobby (hispanic) and get ganged up on by what seems to be the Wu Tang Clan of broadband gaming. Pojnt is that there are ignorant mother fuckers of all cultures online and you should only be playing with people you have on a friend's list.

Yeah, I was playing with some of my college buddies today and some kid was complaining that one of them fucked up when trying to get the other team's flag... and this kid went on and on complaining, then said that everyone on the team (which was me, my college buddies, and this kid) was obsessed with Halo and spends all day playing Halo... then he kept on calling us dumbass Brits (meanwhile, all of us are from NY) and saying how America was gonna nuke us :lol

So far, that's been my only negative experience with XBL, but I usually just play with my college friends and the occasional random person.

they can´t win OR lose with dignity..

The worst and stupidest people alive all play online games. I bet Bin Laden plays them, Hussein probably did, too.
I think the best way to deal with them is to use them as a source of comedy, my friend and I like to play as [G-UNIT]$$Lloyd Banks$$ and [G-UNIT]$$50CENT$$ respectively when we play PC FPS games. People get in a huff even if I'm not typing anything, but the real comedy starts when we type song lyrics and the like, people often get into debates with me over whether I'm the real 50 Cent or not, occaisionally there's an angry racist, and often there's the classic "I bet you're just a couple of white boys, living in suburbia and going to private schools!". :lol

Wow even "wog" slurs on a CS server? The only Australians I know that have a problem with wogs are older, So many young Australians or there friends have at least a small amount of Greek or Italian blood in them I thought it was a non issue.

Oh yeah, Asians are probably attacked the most though. Usually because the people are getting owned and they assume they are Asian because they seem to be the best at cs.

A lot of the problem is that the "wogs" segregate themselves from everyone else in high school and seem to only get along with others later on. Of course this isn’t a rule or anything its just the way I see it.

Saying that, it’s no where near the issue that it once was.

I'm not purely using it as an idiot detector, as I said before it's a way of turning would-be irritating people into a source of amusement.
It's not like I idolise 50 Cent, I don't even listen to his music, and it's not like I'm putting the acting of the facade ahead of the game — most FPS games these days have a little downtime between the action, I can easily fly a helicopter, drive or run to hotspots in Battlefield Vietnam or Desert Combat while I respond to "nobody likes you, 50" with "my multi-platinum album sales say otherwise".

Idiots are abound everywhere. One late late night on Halo 2 I was the only american in a 16 player big team battle. The next 12 minutes of neutral bomb were filled with non-stop bickering between the french and british teammates of mine. The fact they were speaking different languages made it even more idiotic (although you could certainly get the jist of the french from their tone). May god have mercy if one of the french guys got killed arming the bomb while a brit was supposedly covering him. That just made it even worse. All the while I'm trying to protect my ears from all these strong accents and try to help out where I can.

Oh, and I think pjberri's antics are great. He's not obnoxious and only starts when you start against him. Maybe I'll join you one day as [No Limit]$$$$Master P Uhhhh$$$$

Its funny because Xbox is somewhat the console of choice for urban brothas (Civilized and gangstas alike) and Racist Rednecks alike (there's no such thing as civilized racists). I've had a couple close friends of mine who were advent supporters of Xbox have a "wake up call" from playing Halo 2 on XBL and one of them even sold his Xbox cause he was so disgusted by the biggotry.
