It's so easy to sit down and watch some streamers and get lost in the sloth lifestyle. Eventually, it becomes a daily habit and you get used to following some of these streamers, it replaces the time you spend wasting time on YouTube or playing games, and so much of Twitch is just memes and bullshit, it's more low grade than any other time waster. It's the sort of time you waste where you don't remember a fucking thing about it, there is no plot, nothing to take from it, just pure mindless nonsense to kill time. It's the bottom of the entertainment barrel.

When you get to the stage where you tell yourself: "it gets me through the day, or, it's fun, what's the problem?", that's the point where you are done. You became a sloth, you stopped living, you are just passing time.

With Twitch, I watch the streamer I most enjoy, or the game I'm interested in at that specific moment. If any, it's tailor-made entertainment.

I agree with op. I watch way too much twitch and I learn nothing besides new ways to play a map in Valorant which in itself is pointless. At least with YouTube I find myself drifting into new areas of content I wouldn’t normally browse and come away learning something New.
