Basically, sales tax has now been implemented to New York State online orders. Why? Because retailers finally realized that customers were going to their store, looking at an item, and saying "Looks good, I'll go order this online now."


I mean, it makes sense. But I hate it!

I tried reading a bit about this, and I'm not really sure that I've ever benefited from tax-free online shopping.

I can remember being taxed for shit I bought online (pretty consistently) since 2000 or so, in both Michigan and Ohio. Were those states just ahead of the game on forcing sales tax or what?
