It is Friday: Where is the 1up Show?

*If you guys took Thanksgiving off then a quick update on when the show will be out would be nice.*

Well hopefully this week's episode is the best episode yet. I've been sitting on my computer all evening waiting for it. Maybe Che and binaryburrito are asleep from eating too much Turkey. Everything is forgiven if the show is more than 45 mins long though. The more 1up show the better.

Hopefully I can watch it before having to leave early tomorrow morning.

I was thinking the same thing. But I remember Che posting that the show is coming out this week. For all the crazy Zero Footage. So I thought that the show was still on for Thursday nights.

This weeks 1UP Show is going to feature an insane amount of content and I believe it's driving Mr. Burrito nuts trying to figure out what makes the cut and what doesn't. Either way, it's going to be awesome XD!!
 
We did think it was going to go live sometime today but yeah, Thanksgiving and all...

It will definitely be done and posted tomorrow. From what I hear, the show will be long indeed. We even had to drop a couple interviews (one where I give the chief visuals officer at EA a hard time about target videos) just to make it all fit. I suppose we'll run those as separate things sometime soon.

Hi, WTF is your problem as of late? With comments like "review pasted here so you don't have to go to 1UP" and now this post, I'd be more than happy if you just went on your merry way and got your gaming info from the million other websites out there. We're slacking? Are you paying for any of this content? Do we owe you something? No? Okay then, thanks for your no-support.

BTW, you guys need a insider channel of some sort. I got IGN (for the live e3 conf) last year but for the last couple months I've been only going to 1up. This 1up show has really pushed me over the edge to 1up land. I'd pay for more awesome video features like this.

The IGN guys act to much for my tastes, and the Gamespot guys crack all sorts of lame jokes in "The Last Word." You guys got the it just right. Hopefully this weeks episode doesn't disappoint.
 
Yeah, the 1Up show is pretty fucking awesome.



But there's still work to be done for the 1up Audio Podcast. Jane is not a good host.

lol, well the show is done. it's compressing out. b. burrito told me it's like 32 minutes long. so it'll take a while to finish compressing i guess. look for it on the site soon. sorry it's late, super friends!

About that. She is not the greatest show host. But she gets it done. I'm sure everyone else is too busy to actally host it though. It certainly needs some more work.

Well, to be fair, she's as good as 90% of the podcast hosts out there today...

but I would much rather hear a conversational podcast than the current format.

Yeah, most of the time it just seems like she is reading off the current news topics off the front page. Maybe if they changed the format into more of a roundtable discussion of the news topics. Sort of like an audio version of the Nintendo Rev controller roundtable. But discuss all the current news. I'd like that.

That would be kickass. I haven't really tuned in much anyway, but I'd definately be into something like that.....

Right now there isn't too many quality gaming audio podcasts. The only two I ever suscribed to was the PCGamer podcast and the 1up audio podcast. But I think 1up could totally be the number 1 gaming podcast in audio and video. Its that type of stuff that will bring in more readers.

The 1up crew has soooo much potential with this show. They just need to advertise it and expand it a bit. Make it no longer than 35-45 minutes and make the whole storyline to the videos doesn't get lame. Most gamers are a very cynical bunch, and it all comes down to first impressions. I honestly believe that lots of gamers out there would really like these type of video features. Those first round table discussion videos (the X05 wrap-up one) were awesome (its still my favorite).

Also the link to the actual 1upshow page is a little hard to find if you don't know where to look. Maybe because the show was only supposed to last through the whole "Countdown to the 360" November thing. I don't know. But it would be foolish not to pimp this show out. Kinda like how GameSpot makes their stuff hard to miss.. If you go to their main page. You get their "Last Word" video snip in a flash player on the right side waiting to be told to play. Hopefully when you guys give your site a makeover you'll take that into consideration.
 
Oh, and I also want to add -- be sure to watch the 32 minute episode all the way to the end this time... we spill a delicious next-gen rumor on one of our favorite franchises!

Woah Che, sorry about that. I didn't see this until AgentDormer pointed it out to me.

I based my comment on 1up's 360 page (http://360countdown.1up.com/), which hadn't been updated for several days. But it turns out that the reviews had been posted, I just didn't know because I only saw the countdown page. Anyway, no hard feelings dude, sorry if that sounded harsh but it was in jest.

As for that "review pasted here" post, isn't it standard protocol to post full text reviews/impressions so that people don't have to do extra clicking/open up windows? I didn't mean it that way!
