And his character has had nothing to do with the first two movies. How many extra characters can they hope to tack on and give any screentime? It's obvious the third one's going to be pretty Jean Grey/Phoenix-centric. I'm sure the other half of the story will be the usual Wolverine/Professor/Magneto(?) dynamic. If the movies were ever an exact recreation of the comics, I could understand getting upset at this news...

I'm taking a big wait and see approach with this movie. After the first X-Men movie, I predicted the next would be utter crap, but then I saw X2 and it turned out to be one of my all-time favorite movies. I couldn't care less if they make minor changes, as long as it retains the spirit of the X-Men. To keep my fanboyness in check and prevent myself from getting pissed, I just imagine the movies as being a alternate telling of the X-Men, much like the Ultimate comics.

yes! I don't care if he has no story, put him in on the villains team. I want to see Apocalypse, Juggernaut, Phoenix, Blob, Magneto's forcefield, Gladiator, Gambit, more Collossus and of course the Sentinels. Also, fix Cyclops if that's even possible.

They should have the Brotherhood of Mutants in this one, with the whole Sentinel thing going on with it. Then they could have Magneto, Mystique, The Blob, Pyro, Quicksilver, and Scarlett Witch. That would be hawt.
