IT'S MR. PANTS -- Where can I buy it?

For godsakes!

IGN Pocket reviewed it ages ago, it was supposed to come out 12/7, and yet no online retailer carries it, plus my local brick and mortar game stores look at me like I'm insane when I ask for it.

I'm only asking because this looks like the greatest game in the history of the universe. Just look at him!!! LOOK AT HIM!!!

I've been looking all over for it as well. EB, GameStop, etc.

I think I'll just buy it off of THQ's website (if you can do that).

Nope. THQ's website says the game is available now, and provides links to EBGames.com and Gamestop.com.

Neither of which actually list the game. Ugh.

How do you know?

That makes no sense. THQ, IGN, etc all say it's out. IGN even reviewed it.

Crazy. :(

Are you sure it's not releasing until February? I thought that was the Banjo Pilot release date, not the Mr. Pants date... Anyway, you could be right. That would explain things.

I just searched every games website I know of and could not find it for sale anywhere.

I just checked IGN Boards, and some users say they bought it from Walmart in Canada.

and from December 11th, Craig-IGN

>>>...btw apparently its only being released in Britain right now...

So the boxed copy cartridge sent to me from THQ US, that's in a North American package, is from Europe?

Stop the presses!

Uh, it's out. In the US. It might not be easy to find since it's not a familiar license (that's a hard sell to retailers.

Maybe it's only been shipped to Canada at the moment or something? This is strange.

The fact that Craig got one shipped to him (probably direct from THQ) doesn't really prove anything. None of the online retailers are listing it! *frustrated*

I checked the following online stores:

EB
GS
IGN
Walmart
Best Buy
Buy.com
Circuit City
Target
Amazon
Outpost.com

None of them even list it, let alone stock it.

It's not so much that IGN has already reviewed it, it's that IGN and THQ's websites list is as available now! Gharg!

Save your money. The game gets old fast. The whole concept is to make rectangles out of Tetris-ish shapes, which, as it turns out, is pretty darn dull--mainly due to the lack of chain reactions in gameplay and the failure to include any multiplayer modes.

The music, speech effects, and art style are great -- like a kid with crayons drew the game and then got his British grandfather to provide voice clips such as "super!" and "brilliant!" But that doesn't rescue what is overall a snoozer.

Is that an eyepatch in that thar avatar, matey? :D

There's a relatively uninteresting story behind that.

Basically what happened is... Pirate Day came and everyone was changing their avatars to be like a pirate. So I made an eyepatch for Shuma Gorath. But then Pirate Day went away and I was too lazy to change Shuma Gorath back. So now I pretend Shuma is wearing a shade. :D

He can see a lot better too. That eyepatch hindered his one eye a lot.

*lol*

You realize that this begs the question, "What is a Shuma-Gorath?"

Shuma is a cheap character from Marvel vs. Capcom and Marvel Superheroes. If you're good with Shuma-Gorath you can put the beat down on just about anybody!

In the comics Shuma-Gorath is an extradimensional demon who came to Earth 1,000,000 years ago and basically made lunch out of everything available. He has been in lots of comics from Conan and beyond. Here's a short synopsis:

Shuma-Gorath said:
Identity/Class: Demon, class 3 (Extradimensional); Distant Past, Pre-Cataclysmic, Hyborian , and modern eras

Occupation: Lord of Chaos, Master of the Old Ones, Ruler of a hundred dimensions

Affiliations: Leader of the Old Ones; Served by Arioch, Dagoth, Ebora, Erlik Khan, Ghaszaszh Nyirh, Kathulos, Khats, Kulan Gath, Living Buddha, N'Gabthoth, Nightmare, Serpent Men of Starkesboro, Sligguth, Vammatar, Water Elemental; possibly Shagreen the Sorcerer (see comments) Made Hob his unwitting pawn

Enemies: Ancient One, Conan, Crom, Dr. Strange, Hob, Kaluu, Rann Njalsdatter, unnamed shaman, Shon of the Snowhawk tribe, Sise-Neg, the village of the Snow Bear;
Turned on Kulan Gath and Vammatar when they tried to control him;

Known Relatives: None

Aliases: Shuma Gorath, "Dr. Strange", He Who Sleeps, but Shall Awake

Base of Operations: His own native dimension; Formerly Prehistoric earth, Mt. Crom; the Ancient One's mind

First Appearance: (mentioned) Marvel Premiere #5 (November, 1972), (depicted) Marvel Premiere #10 (September, 1973)

Hehee. So that's that!

I've just bought Mr. Pants for 50 yuan (5€) in the San Li Tun market, Beijing (China), although it's obviously a pirate version ('Licensedn by Nintendo'). As have been said, the only appeal of the game is on its art, specially the hilarious speech. As a puzzle, it's quite bland, really.

By the way, hello everyone, it has been ages I've been having laughs with you all (being this my first post). :)

The puzzle aspects are a fun little diversion. I can see myself twisting my mind over some of the more difficult puzzles on a long ride.

With KH CoM and FFI&II winding down (and a big trip coming up) I'm looking for content to use on my NDS... since, you know, no good NDS games are coming out for who knows how long. -_-

Picked up the first Klonoa for the GBA, and I'd like It's Mr. Pants too, if possible, before the trip.

Well, nearly two months later, it looks like the game is finally available for mailorder. Neither GameStop or EB list the game on their sites, so WalMart and CD Universe might be the extent of it.

Apologies if it's become common knowledge, but it looks like as recently as a week ago it was still being talked about as unreleased/forthcoming -- thought the interested parties might like to know.

Thanks for the heads up. Ordering it from walmart.com...

Craig Harris was full of shit. Moron.

There's TONS of them at the Superstores, TRUs, and Walmarts here in and around Vancouver, BC - all for about $20.

Funny how this topic got bumped the same day I got ahold of the latest issue of Tips&Tricks where they had a story on the game. As it's been said, the game was only distributed in Canadian stores.

$19.82 - It's Mr. Pants GBA
$01.97 - Shipping
$01.88 - NY Sales Tax
--------------------------------
$23.67 - Total

A Wal-Mart in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Canada for $20 Canadian.

And no, I didn't buy it. It's called "It's Mr. Pants".

Impressions, post-haste. If its even halfway decent I'll pick it up from walmart.com, just because I dig the artstyle.
