For me its a not even a contest.

Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie.

Barely a minute goes by without something hysterical being said.

A close second would be Liar Liar but that movie doesnt hold up with multiple viewings.
MST 3000 is goddamn funny every single time.

they call me "Man Gravy".
I love the cheesy college movies. Just watched PCU the other night, which is hilarious, plus I just love Old School. Hard to top Python's Holy Grail though, which only got funnier when I read how most of the stuff in the movie they did simply because they had no money (such as using coconuts instead of horses).

I can't pick a funniest movie ever made.

Virtually every 70s, 80s and early 90s comedy is great:

Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, Planes, Trains & Automobiles, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, The Man with Two Brains, Ghostbusters 1/2 (not full on comedies but they have funny scripts), Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid, Spaceballs, The Great Outdoors, The Jerk, The Three Amigos, Little Shop of Horrors, Weekend at Bernies.... this stuff is my childhood. And I laughed a lot.

Monty Python's films are awesome. It's a toss up for me with Holy Grail and Life of Brian. The Meaning of Life was okay, but I don't think it's as good as the others.

I like the Farrely bros stuff: Dumb & Dumber, Something About Mary, Me, Myself & Irene, Shallow Hal...

South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut, and Team America: World Police are both awesome too IMO.

Commando probably isn't meant to be funny, but Matrix, Bennett and pals really know how to make me laugh.

SOME DUDE: "What are you expecting colonel?"
cue suspense music...
COLONEL: "WORLD WAR THREE!"

RANDOM GUARD: "Cutting a little girls throat is like slicing through butter"
BENNETT (wearing chain mail and talking camp australian):
"Shut your mouth and put the knife away."
BENNETT: "I like hearing your pissant soldiers talk tough. It makes me laugh. If Matrix were here... he'd laugh too"

MATRIX (after snapping his captor's neck on a plane):
"please don't disturb my friend, he's dead tired"

BENNETT: "I don't need the girl. [giggles] I DON'T NEED THE GIRL!!!"
BENNETT: "I'm not gonna shoot you between the eyes, john. I'm gonna shoot you between the balls!"

And of course, the last lines of the movie:

COLONEL: "Did you leave anything for us?"
MATRIX: "Just bodies"

It helps that Arnie has infinate ammo throughout the movie too. I want a body count in the corner of the screen if they ever do a special edition.

Most movies that age, don't age well (Caddyshack, Ace Ventura) or they are only funny the first time you see them (Naked Gun, Scary Movie) and some were never funny to begin with (Most Adam Sandler movies).

So the answer is : none.

The only 3 I can still watch and get good laughs out of are: Slapshot, Groundhog's Day and Princess Bride. But, I wouldn't say they are the funniest movies of all time. They are just great movies that happen to be funny.

Excluding Big Lebowski, I'd say Mystery Science Theatre 3000: Mitchell, or Wet Hot American Summer

No way I could ping a single best.

Bad Santa
Office Space
South Park: The Movie

all tops in my opinion.

I think I'm going to have to go with Wet Hot American Summer.

Gary: McKinley needs to experience "The Ultimate"!
J.J.: You mean, penis-in-vagina?
Gary: No, dickhead, sex.

I'll probably be the only one to chose this movie, but it's definitely Drop Dead Gorgeous for me. It's so wrong on many levels, and such a good cast too!

Dumb and Dumber.

Lloyd: What are the chances of a guy like you and a girl like me ending up together?
Mary: Not good.
Lloyd: Not good like one in a hundred?
Mary: I'd say more like one in a million.
Lloyd: So you're telling me there's a chance?

Naked Gun Trilogy are my favorite comedies, but I think Dumb and Dumber is the funniest movie in existance.

For me it has to be a tie Between Moty Python and the Holy Grail, Airplane and of all things... Ready to Rumble.

I know thats gonna get me some heat. But it is a funny movie cracking on one of my favorite things, pro wrestling and the redneck fans.

nothing better than Mene Gene asking Oliver Platt if people find him sexy...

Shaolin Soccer

There's different kinds of "funny" as well..

Dumb and Dumber.

Best scene was when Jim Carrey was in the washroom and while peeing he read some notes in the wall that says... "Meet me here <in this date and time> for some hot lovin" and when he looked at his watch, it was the exact same date and time and there's this big guy went right behind him and probably 'raped' him. :lol

That was pretty funny, although my favorite bit is:

"Eat your burger and we'll tell you" *snigger*

:lol

...but this one goes upto 11...

I mentioned Spaceballs in my post by the way :D

But shit. Can't believe I forgot Shaolin Soccer. The subtitles on the hong kong version make it even funnier than it would be anyway. I'm reluctant to get the English version because of it.

The Evil Team are brilliant. I love the eggs thing. And when the goalkeeper phones his wife to tell her he loves her! :lol

Airplane is great. I actually saw it in its entirety for the first time a couple of days ago. A lot of the jokes are plainly obvious, but I still love them. The first black speech translation scene is probably one of my favourite bits of comedy in any movie ever.

"Shiiiit" translated into "Golly!" So great.

I vote dumb and dumber as well. so many classic little things that make me laugh. Like Jeff Daniels expression on his face in the snowball fight and the little scooter wobble when they are trying to get the truckie to honk his horn.

I second the Big Lebowski, This is Spinal Tap, Office Space and Shaolin Soccer.
I would add Sour Grapes
Slips into spanish accent, "...You see, you see that is what is so galling to me and that I can never forget."
"What are you spanish now?"
"No."
"Well you're sounding a little spanish."
"Yeah, right."

"Don't point that finger at me."
"I'll point all I want."
"I'll point too."

"Enjoying your pie, Dr Maxwell?"

And Ali G Indahouse

"Swan, Is there any reason there should be an absurdly dressed half naked man chained to a fence being tossed off by an old blind council worker?"

There are others that elude my memory.
