The hate on Rowling is based off the perversion of some remarks that lunatics turned into politic ammunition. It's impossible to discuss the matter without mentioning such phenomenon.

The hate of JKR took on a life of its own. There was a NY Times ad thatexplicitly mentioned erasing her from Harry Potter FFS. Eurogamer didn't even acknowledge the existence of Hogswarts Legacy.

The thing with woke movements is that they require complete obedience to accept you. They don't allow you to stray an inch away from what is deemed acceptable to them at that very moment. If you do then they will come after you with vengeance despite you having supported them for years. There is no point in asking for their approval or friendship since it doesn't exist. Of course there's overlap, as we have with other mammals. We share the same core behaviors but you don't call us monkeys, precisely because it's the minor diffences that make the big gap.

Our brains work differently, arguing this is shocking. You don't need any science to reach these conclusions, since we are so different at every possible level. And this is the result of thousands and thousands of years of evolution. I think people forget that JK Rowling is also 'woke'. Trans exclusionary Radical Feminists are still radical Feminists.
Whats really interesting is the that Rowling (and Linehan for another example) started out with fairly benign and rarely stated opinions on trans issues, mainly just that someone born a man and having lived as a man shouldnt be afforded all the advantages and protections given to women and shouldn't be able to speak for women just because they say they are actually a woman.
