At this stage, best option is to just have Brodus Clay return at the Rumble itself, and clean house for a while.

The general audience have already long forgotten who he is, the vignettes for his return were back in freaking November, and he only ever gets a brief off hand mention once per show now.

If the final four in the Rumble turned out to be Ziggler, Cody, Sheamus and Barrett, I'd just about faint from shock (and delight).

It would be brilliant if Brodus Clay debuts as Johnny Ace's enforcer.

Also, Dolph Ziggler can't win the Rumble, he has a title shot that night.

Can someone explain to me why his debut has been the most botched in history?
They have already buried him.

Hasn't stopped guys before. I remember Angle having a match at one Rumble, but still showing up in the Rumble itself.

Was it a title match though? I don't think they put someone in the rumble if they can potentially be a champion by the end of the night.

Randy ortan is gonna win the rumble and you would be silly to expect anything else.

Number 30... Wins the match in less then a minute of entering.

I'm calling it

Has Kevin Nash been fired? REMEMBER! He got the biggest POP at the Rumble, but HHH let him down. Redemption?

My guess is, they want to make sure he debuts with a lot of force, so he'll have momentum, but at the same time they don't care about it enough to just make sure it happens on time.

So they want it to happen one way, but it's not important enough to be facilitated, instead they're just going to wait for the opportunity to arise rather than make it arise.

I thought the Royal Rumble was the last match of the night?

It is, but my point though is if someone is involved in a title match at the Royal Rumble, they historically do not include that person in the Rumble. I went back to Rumble 2006 and no one involved in a WWE or World Heavyweight championship match was included in the Rumble match.

You have to go back to 2005 when JBL defeated The Big Show and Kurt Angle to retain the WWE Championship and Kurt Angle showed up in the Rumble later that night. He was eliminated by HBK in 37 seconds.

ROH in Austin...AWESOME. Hopefully, this puts us on the tour schedule soon.

Only thing is it's kinda sucky to make the press release TWO DAYS AFTER the programs already debuted in those markets, but whatever, I'll catch it next week.

Well Angle wasn't supposed to be in Rumble, story wise, he lost a title match if I recall, then stole someone's number afterwards to get in the Rumble (apparently you can do that).

I would assume Ziggler loses to Punk, then worms his way into the Rumble anyway.
No way will they lose to chance to have him flung around the ring during the Rumble, even if they're not having him win.

Ziggler wasn't in last year's Rumble because he was in the WHC match, but he's in a totally different place one year later.

I don't expect ROH to expand their touring sights too much outside of their normal range. I had hoped that having several stations carry the program in Florida would mean we'd get some shows down here outside of a Mania weekend but Cornette thinks Florida is ruined for regular wrestling shows due to TNA running all of their shows free in the state. He actually told me this last year in Atlanta.

Man nwa is going to be awesome tonight.

And I missed most of 2011 (least the good stuff) So i'll say favorite thing is punk shoot I guess?

I don't think Cody will win because they're saving Cody vs Goldust for Wrestlemania. I doubt Barret will win because they'll probably save Orton vs Barret for Wrestlemania, and I think Orton will come back during the RR match to take out both Barret and himself, and start fighting outside the ring. I guess Sheamus has a chance at winning the RR then.

Besides the booking and writing, I think WWE's biggest problem these days is that the wrestlers just suck at wrestling. Compare watching a normal match today and compare it to a normal match from the 70's/80's/90's and there is a huge drop in in ring quality. The matches use to tell a story and would progress from slow low impact moves to higher impact moves and not all matches ended with a signature move or a heel run in. The crowd use to be red hot into the action even in the New Generation era. Watch SummerSlam 94 with Razer vs Diesel for the IC title. Technically it was not the best match, but it told a great story in the ring and the crowd ate it up. It looked like they both wanted to win that worthless leather strap.

Jericho will come out as #30 and win the Rumble while still waving at the crowd due to the other guys fighting and eliminating themselves.

Am I missing something or did they forget King of Trios?

So he was, I missed that one. So him and Angle are both the exceptions to the rule :)
Orton was in it too, after he lost to The Miz.

I really depends on how deep the roster is at the time whether the losers of title matches enter the Rumble. Last year there were 40 men, so they had to pad it out somehow.

Its kinda stupid, 2 months ago I got a teaser for his debut. Its Jan 2012 and nothing, except a promise by JL that hell be on next week. So stupid how they have handled him. If hes not ready, send him back to Florida then. Stop wasting my time!

Could be worse, could be like Andy Levine and be involved in an angle with Vince on his first night on RAW and never be heard from again.

They have been talking about dropping it for a while I think, I guess due to expenses. Shame to see it go if that is the end.

They're also missing the ECW Arena to run it in this year too, I'm sure the larger size of that vs some of the places they usually run helped them recoup some of the costs.

Eh, even though it'll mostly follow the previously posted formula, I'm still pretty excited.
Jericho is one of the most interesting things to happen in wrestling since the Summer of Punk (and I was very lukewarm to his return before last Monday). That and I'm not bored yet of the current top baddies Ziggler + Otunga + Aces

This is not the fault of the wrestlers. Wrestlers today are better than ever, but between the writers, the booking agents, and the commentary being the worst it's ever been they're all made to look like shit.

I'll also blame a lot of the issues to audience fatigue. Right now the WWE puts 4-10 hours of television programming on every week and they refuse to put anyone but full roster talent on air. In the past they'd be fine with putting enhancement talent and local talent on the undercard, as well as not using the exact same faces in every television main event.
Nowadays you get the same faces in every undercard match and every main event, so it's near impossible to get the crowd hot for any single match.

I expect Orton to win but I think we're going to end up with a Triple Threat for that belt at Wrestlemania with Barrett/Bryan/Orton - maybe with Barrett or Orton winning the belt at Elimination Chamber.

Ziggler I think they'll hold off and have him win Money in the Bank at WM.

No way CHIKARA doesn't do trios this year. Its their biggest dvd seller of the year. I wouldn't be surprised if its in NYC this year. I think they are going to add a bunch more dates then what's just announced. They do alot of double and triple shots and I just see alot of single weekend stuff. Seems like they are just announcing new and big markets early.

While they are in better shape and more agile I find them lacking in telling a story in the ring. The way a match progress these days are too fast and the spots are very predictable with very little emotion going on. There is just a lack of competitiveness here. Back in the day when Yokozuna was steam rolling through every face on the roster, it actually looked like the faces wanted to beat him. Same with the Bret vs Owen matches, HBK vs Razer fued etc.

That's not their fault, though. It's entirely down to the booking, the commentary, the road agents, etc.

The actual wrestlers themselves are more skilled and able than ever.

It's hard for me to think of 30 names who are regularly on TV to get into the rumble.

They'll come to you man. You'll be all "I thought they FE'd that guy" all night. Which one of those Croft and Barreta guys is gone? See, I already forgot.

Texas is a completely different beast than Florida though. Florida has TNA, FCW, and FIP (the former sister promotion of ROH, now affiliated with Dragon Gate USA) all running shows.

Texas doesn't have any of that. There is maybe one decently-healthy indy in each major market here, and that's it. In Austin, it's ACW, which is only interesting to me because of it's "American Joshi" division, starring Portia Perez.

There is nothing on the level of TNA and FCW running in Texas.
