You laugh now but when John Cena and the funky bunch fight the Eeeeeeeeeeevil Kane and set in battle to defend the work district of downtown Angel Grove. Let's see you laugh then

In other news

I am currently playing/streaming some old PS2 games and I go to check out my data on my PS2 memory card and I look and I see something weird for Smackdown :HCTP

what the fuck? Trophy ass?
There used to be Diva awards for some catwalk competition. That was the trophy.

EDIT: Here's a video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-uvkrcri_I

Go watch the WWE Divas: Undressed live "fashion show" (read: thong/g-string exhibition) from 2002. The award they gave out was that thing and they called it the golden thong award.

That was probably the last real racy thing WWE did. I remember TNN execs saw a pre-tape of the event and they made them move it to midnight because it was so wild.

Is there a set date of when the Attitude Era ended? I go by "Whens the last time you saw a thong (on purpose) on TV?"
The attitude era isn't defined by parental ratings. If that were the case, then the attitude era would have lasted until like 2008 or 2009. The general consensus is that it started with the Bret Hart/Stone Cold match at WM 13, and ended with Stone Cold going heel at WM 17.

About what? I love me some PWG.

Same here. For me PWG was easily the best wrestling promotion in the US during 2011, and I only expect that to continue in 2012. There's something about PWG that feels to me like 2003 era ROH, as there's such a great mix of styles, everything you could possibly want from wrestling (unless all you want from wrestling is the soap opera, which it seems a lot of fans do).

Whatever the rating may be, they just need to be consistent with their short and long term bookings. I get that Cena brings in revenue but you need to buIld new stars as well. You can't build new stars and worry week to week with ratings. Putting Ryder with Eve? Cena with Ryder. Kane with Cena? Then announcing Swagger will get a US title shot against Swagger with no build? It's a bucket of slop. Henry Godwin would be dissapointed.

That's insane, I didn't know swagger was us champ

Out of nowhere title shots? Vince watches NWA confirmed

It wasn't really "out of nowhere". They've been building up for a few weeks.

I wold buy this PPV

Swagger will job to himself.

Swagger flops on the ground for 10 minutes, then jumps from the top rope into the Spainish Announcement Table. Double countout

ok so during their entrances, does Swagger do his normal entrance, then he walks back up the ramp and out of the ring and then waits for his theme to start again and do it all over again for the second time?

Little thought on Brodus Clay, they actually really do need someone like him, a mid card face.

The mid card actually has a lot of guys in it right now, but a lot of them are moving up. This time next year, if all goes well, Bryan, Ziggler, Cody, Sheamus, Barrett will all be established in the main event, along with Punk, Orton and Cena. Christian too.

That leaves the mid card pretty sparse. Zack Ryder is now established firmly as a mid carder, with the US title, and well, he needs some mid carders to feud with. Jack Swagger shouldn't be jobbing to the stars, he should be a strong mid card contendor for Ryder's title, and Brodus Clay also a US title contendor. Del Rio and Miz probably should drop to the mid card, too, and refresh their gimmicks. I wonder if Miz should even turn face. Heel is going no where for him.

R-Truth will annoyingly remain in the mid-card as a face, instead of being a main event crazy heel, but what can you do?

Smackdown is in deep shit in terms of mid card. It has more or less no one right now outside of Cody, Sheamus and Barrett in its mid card, and they're all moving up, like I said. Once Cody's ready to go after the WHC, who can even beat him for the IC title? Ted fuckin' DiBiase?

P.S. I know I'm not considering the low card people moving up, but the WWE seems uninterested in building anyone from down there anymore.

Smackdown has Jinder.

But, I think Cody has the chance to make the IC prestigious. Just have him defend it against opponents week in, week out and heck there's no harm in it being the main event.

God dammit. GOD FUCKING DAMMIT. I remember being awe-struck watching Kofi beat the stuffing out of Orton. "Kofi is finally gonna make it" I thought to myself.

I feel so sad now. :(

That was in MSG wasn't it? And after Kofi was the sole survivor after getting Orton & Punk? Man, he was so ready for the bump

Absolutely, Cody should keep his IC title past WM, a very long reign, with regular defences. They're just really lacking in people to give it to afterwards.

Jinder Mahal? Ted DiBiase? Hunico? This seems to be the mid card they've got left.

I also forgot about FCW, which has a lot of very promising guys right now, and guys that are already experienced. You've got Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Richie Steamboat, and a few of the guys who were already on WWE TV but will get repackaged like Brodus did, like the Nexus leftovers.

Give any of those guys a solid gimmick and push and you'll have easy mid carders. I was watching Dean Ambrose' house show matches with Bryan, and even though he had no gimmick or defined character, he was still getting good heel heat from his mannerisms alone, and his er, unique way of moving around the ring. I didn't follow him before, when he was John Moxley, I'm afraid, but I'm catching up on him now and he seems like a huge talent.

Seth Rollins also has a great look, and seems very skilled from the matches I saw. Richie Steamboat, after watching him work, seems to indeed be a Cody Rhodes and not a Genesis.

Kofi doesn't have what it takes to be a main eventer at all. Figured it'd be obvious by now. No personality, no nothin'.
