:O - didn't realise this was out, I'm really looking forward to seeing Jigsaw's match and the Tennozan final. And Marufuji's on the show too! Awesome.

I've really been looking forward to this show. it will be interesting to see Jigsaw in Japan. I've been trying to get into Japanese wrestling more, but nothing has ever clicked enough to make me want to keep up with the scene. Hopefully Osaka will keep me around.

BillRiccio where is your avatar from? I recalled hearing about an UMB promo he does in front of a fireplace, but I assumed I made it up in my mind because I can't find anything on Google and it sounds too awesome to be true

Now that is what I'm talking about. How far back are you going? Do you have WCW Saturday Night, the Main Event or Pro Wrestler Illustrated?

I have all WCW/NWA PPVs since 83 to when it died, and all Nitros ever. Missing some gaps in my Thunder collection and have nearly no WCW Saturday Nights, sadly.

Yeah, there's some clear similarities between Osaka and CHIKARA, what with the lucha/juniors inspired action, masked characters and good mix of humour, so hopefully it'll appeal more to you. Did you see the Harada/Kotoge vs The Colony tag match from a few months back? Was a pretty good match and good to see Green Ant & Fire Ant in Japan, well worth hunting down if you haven't seen it.

This Saturday's EVOLVE event that will close out the former ECW Arena is already the largest pre-sale in the history of the company, which means they are looking at at least 500 fans. Gabe Sapolsky is looking at the event as a chance to expose his product to new potential fans that are coming to say goodbye to the building.

That will be good exposure for Evolve, I hope it works out well.

If it's successful for them, perhaps Gabe will be able to hold more than 3 shows a year, as 2011 was really disappointing in terms of the growth they should have made.

I've heard of the similarities plus all the talent that goes back and forth between the promotions is what really peaked my interest. I think the language barrier is a big issue for me if I can't understand commentators or interviews I feel like I'm missing alot of the show. I'm going to have to hunt down that tag match I forgot all about it until you brought it up.

Ah nice, I'll pick this up fo sho. Would almost prefer it if he did it all in character though

They should do a separate dvd of him doing a sit down in character where he explains plans for world domination.

This is one of my favorite CHIKARA moments enjoy the awesomeness provided byUltraMantis Black and Hallowicked, with a special guest appearence from Eddie Kingston. Intro by Claudio Castagnoli.
CHIKARA: Cribs

And if Ultramantis Black wasn't awesome enough he's in a pretty sweet hardcore band that plays basement shows.

Hey WrassleGAF, watch this match;

Suwama vs Daisuke Sekimoto - (AJPW 01/02/12)

The first really great match I've seen so far 2012. Suwama, the ace of All Japan, goes up against Big Japan & ZERO1 invader Daisuke Sekimoto. While Suwama is certainly strong and has the clear height advantage, Sekimoto is known for his toughness and crazy-strength, which he certainly shows here as both guys beat the crap out of each other for 20 minutes, each struggling to overcome the other and hit their power-moves. Just an awesome strong-man match from two of the best heavyweights in Japan.

The language barrier can be a real pain sometimes, especially in Kikutaro/Kamen matches where they're getting big laughs from jawing with the crowd and arguing with the referee, really makes me wish I new Japanese. Let me know if you have any trouble finding the match, I've got a link but it's only for the full show (the 09/23/11 event).

Yeah I wish someone would do subs on Puro shows like they do for Naruto, One Piece, et cetera.

No way on the Direct insurance promo ad. I don't think it's pathetic really. More like hysterically awesome brovertisement.

Well just turned on TNA.. and if I'm hearing this correctly..

They did the whole giving someone your boots thing again? Didn't they do that in WCW with Hogan and Dave Sullivan?

man, All-Stars is fun as hell. Was playing a tag team match with my buddy, we're getting our asses whooped...no health left, susceptible to KO...and right when my pal (Triple H) is about to get hit with the finisher (by Jericho), I (Stone Cold) get the pin (on Undertaker).

Pulled victory from the jaws of defeat. what a rush.

Great match. Thanks for the link, Bootaaay.

Something about Japanese refs irks me. I feel like they do too much. I know that's a random criticism, but it's just something I've observed from my very limited experience watching them.

inb4 DMeisterJ disses her

I wont diss her, I will say that she is flanked by much cuter females on either side of her, but she herself isn't inherently ugly. But she's also not very cute at all.
