Didnt Taker beat Hogan at a house show for the title? Or was it vice versa

Taker beat Hogan at Survivor Series 1991. Hogan won the belt back 6 days later at the experiment for weekly PPVs at cheaper prices. The experiment failed big time.

Then Jack Tunney stripped Hogan of the title immediately for using the ashes in the urn against Taker and put the title up for grabs in the Royal Rumble, which Flair won.

Wait the weekly PPV idea didn't work in the 90s?

And TNA tried it again?

have you never watched TNA?

The entire show is built around bad ideas from the 90s.

But I am pretty sure TNA got significantly better buys for there old weekly shows then they get now for there monthly ones.

Met the Miz over at Kabuki in Hollywood tonight about an hour ago. He was waiting for a table with Maryse right as my wife and I were leaving.

Dude was super cool, and even took a picture with me! Hoping he gets on revenge on Truth tomorrow!

I say Jericho doesn't talk til Royal Rumble too. Not a long promo (that's not what PPVs are for), but he'll do something, start a feud, and then drop the promo bomb on RAW the next night.

I say Jericho doesn't talk until the Rumble.

The whole Rumble match goes on as normal, then the last two guys left in the ring eliminate each other simultaneously before the 30th man comes out. The clock runs down to zero and out comes Jericho, winning the Royal Rumble without wrestling at all. He then Jeritrolls the crowd without saying anything as the PPV ends.

Despite the state of his character at the moment, have to give him props for continuing to smang Maryse.

fuck all these All-Stars and WWE 12 BS.....

lets play WrestleFest on Kaillera...Royal Rumble..fight to the death!
i don't know where you get those items so don't ask

I just want to add that ROH this week was AWFUL. I don't know if it was the random camera cuts, the clusterfuck rules of the match, too many people in the match, the shitty commercial breaks, or the awful arena lights..but I couldn't make it to the last segment.

I'm watching an old Bret Hart match, it's funny how guys had to sell the inverted atomic drop as "OW! My lower back!"

Also, HBK would have to sell his thigh hurting when he landed on the top rope.

Mmm hmm especially because it was Elgin taking the bump. Good stuff.

When are the "real" episodes starting up again though? Not that I have an issue with these exhibition matches, but it feels aimless.

Man, I'm sooooo pissed off.

I decided to watch the ROH show for this week that I had on my DVR. It's the one where the entire show is a time-condensed version of the 80 minute 8-man elimination match they had. I was digging it alright. The fucking awesome commentary with Cornette probably being the high point.

Basically, the way they had most of the show edited, when someone gets eliminated, they go to a commercial. Fine. When it finally gets down to two guys left, they go to a commercial.

Only, when they came back from the commercial, we're back to the second-to-last segment with four guys...WTF? Then, right when it finally gets back to the two guys, and they go to commercial...show's over.

Was this just a problem with the Austin affiliate, KEYE (CBS,) or did everybody get the show this way, and never got to see the end of the match?

This sucks balls.
