I think any wrestling thread or discussion will inevitably turn into a confusing kayfabe of its own.

It's like a rule. Nature of the business and all that.

The speed at which he walks down to the ring is similar to an individual trying not to fall on their backside when crossing ice, someone should tell him that dry ice isn't slippery.

i wouldnt mind that speed with the ministry intro song, but the Johhny Cash one??? ugh nice little switch up but he is the taker and his char already has like 3 awesome variations of his main song. Ministry one being the right choice for his last match.

I welcomed the Johnny Cash one simply because i'm so tired of the theme he's been using since 2004 (and also back in the nineties).
His ministry theme is my favourite entrance theme, it's a shame he doesn't use it or at least get an all new theme but oh well.

Oh good, another "losing streak" plot.

The winner of the Royal Rumble will probably be someone from Smackdown to fill the WWE's "desperate move to get people to watch Smackdown" yearly quota.

maybe if we get Takers Ministry Theme to trend on Twitter they'll make sure when he comes back......

he's using the american badass theme to troll the internet fans.

Said winner will then move to RAW in the Draft.
I'm now reminded of the time Undertaker was to choose his WM opponent and he actually had the option of facing Bobby Lashley for the ECW title, oh the hilarity!

If he did bring back American Badass we could have a terrifying sequel to the shitty Kid Rock segment of WM25 at this years WM, now lets never speak of it again.

well there was the other song he had ...which was a lot worse...and then the big evil thin....geezus i was glad when he went back to being Taker.

So is Ricky Steamboat Jr. more of a Cody Rhodes or a Michael McGillicuty?

I would assume he's got his father's talent, but I've been burned by a lot of great wrestler's sons.

FIP is all but done in Florida, they only run the Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup there because the history is tied to Florida.

OK. Still. Point stands. Nothing in Texas compared to TNA and FCW.

Also, you forgot about Booker T's promotion in Houston, forget the name.
[/quote]

No I didn't. Booker's PWA would be included in the line "there is maybe one decently-healthy indy in each major market here." Booker's group runs about one smallish event a month. TASW is also there in Humble, but doesn't even run the Houston consistently area once a month.

Dallas/Ft. Worth used to have a group called PCW that had TV on the local UPN station for like 5 years, but those guys are now all about promoting MMA shows now. Now it's the sad sack remains of the NWA-SW and other little indies that run the far suburbs.

San Antonio is probably in the best shape. There are a few decent indies working however sporadically but still working there. But I don't think any of them has a local indy TV deal or anything close to that.

So like I said, the situation is nothing like Florida here. Heyman's ECW back in the day when they were on TNN, and ROH have both done good here when they've come.

Cody Rhodes. Him and Rollins had a pretty good tag team going.

I'm not gonna hold my breath.

The "evil foreigner" role these days is generally a complete dead end.
Well yeah, his success is completely dependant on being able to evolve his character beyond that cartoon bad guy shit.
Shame he had to come in as part of a Khali story, probably the worst way to debut imaginable.
Well, just look at Sheamus, Barrett and, ahem, Drew McIntyre. When Sheamus was a heel, his heel cred came from him being a psycho who beat the crap out of people, and Barrett, what part of him being British comes into him being a heel? Apart from having the accent, all his his heel...ness, comes from his slimy character. And McIntyre, er, well, if he was on TV as a heel he wouldn't have any Scottish heel things, he'd just be a heel that has an accent too.

They were heels, without resorting to the ever dated "evil foreigner" nonsense. Of course, they're all white, and have "cool" accents from the audience's fairly limited perspective, so it's not so hard.
Del Rio...

And Sheamus touched on this a bit during his US Title run

I still have no idea why TNA hasn't run a Dallas house show. Dallas is a hot wrestling market and home of Panda Energy. I'm not driving all the way to Tyler to watch TNA.

Is there any 500-1000 or so seat arena's in dallas? The Bound of Glory PPV they ran in Irvine,CA was probably their best setup ever for a show
