OK. Still. Point stands. Nothing in Texas compared to TNA and FCW.

No I didn't. Booker's PWA would be included in the line "there is maybe one decently-healthy indy in each major market here." Booker's group runs about one smallish event a month. TASW is also there in Humble, but doesn't even run the Houston consistently area once a month.

Dallas/Ft. Worth used to have a group called PCW that had TV on the local UPN station for like 5 years, but those guys are now all about promoting MMA shows now. Now it's the sad sack remains of the NWA-SW and other little indies that run the far suburbs.

San Antonio is probably in the best shape. There are a few decent indies working however sporadically but still working there. But I don't think any of them has a local indy TV deal or anything close to that.

So like I said, the situation is nothing like Florida here. Heyman's ECW back in the day when they were on TNN, and ROH have both done good here when they've come.

I don't think anyone has a good wrestling situation outside of the Northeast, Florida and Southern California.

I remember watching some TASW on TV here in Houston back in the 90's. It was...interesting. Same channel aired Shotgun Saturday night too.

Meltzer mentioned on the Wrestling Observer boards that the rumor mill in WWE is that the Network launch has been put off till September.

I want to try it out for the create-a-wrestler alone. I watched the Giant Bomb quick look for the game a couple of months ago, and recording your own catch phrases for your created wrestler through Kinect looks fucking hilarious.

THE TWO HOUR CAREER MODE ENDS WITH "TO BE CONTINUED"

BAH GAWD

Wouldn't surprise me. They are idiots for thinking they can have an entire network up and running in 6 months.

They have no staff. Therefore, they have no choice.

Hope it works out.

Do they eventually move Raw/SD there?

Friday's WWE Smackdown television show drew a 1.8 rating, down from the 1.92 rating the show produced the week before. The show averaged roughly 2.579 million viewers.

This is the lowest rating Smackdown has garnered since the September 16th show.

So Bryan and Punk are killing the ratings?

Gotta get the belts off these guys at the Rumble so they have to burn up their rematch clause in the chamber and bump them down to mid-card and curtain jerking at Mania.

Well not only is Jeff Hardy vs Robert Roode going to be on Impact, but so is Kurt Angle vs James Storm. So both main matches from the ppv TNA is giving away for free the next Impact.

probably air NXT and SS on their network for sure. FCW too.

I hope they have a good news/commentary show not just a bunch of fluff. I know they like to keep the kids in the dark but us older fans really like the dirtsheet, behind the scenes, shoot interview stuff.

Is there any 500-1000 or so seat arena's in dallas? The Bound of Glory PPV they ran in Irvine,CA was probably their best setup ever for a show

Yeah. The Gilley's Dallas complex has three spaces and would be ideal for anything they'd need. Between the smaller South Side Music Hall, and the Palladium Ballroom, they'd have everything they could need up to 3.000 fans. If they needed something bigger than 1,500, all the way to around 3-4,000 fans though, they could run the old auditorium in Fair Park, which I understand is pretty cheap.

...

I'm really shocked the ratings aren't better. I mean how could the WWE Universe™ not see D.Bri. and his ilk as true WWE Superstars™, considering everything they've done in commentary to get them over over the course of their WWE careers?
