I would very much like to be included in the rumble shenanigans if that's ok?

I want to start posting more in here and this seems like a good way to get involved.

Orton's suppose to be announced for the Rumble on RAW apparently. I'm fairly certain he will be a final four participant, if not the winner.

I'm hoping to get funkasaurus. Don't think he'll win but he will be fun to root for.

Do you guys really feel that Orton will win? I think that it's too obvious. I think the hometown aspect will work against him. They had hbk get to the final 2 and lose in San Antonio when he went on to fight for the title at Mania anyway.

Yeah I agree with that. I think Wade Barrett will get the win and he'll do it defeating Orton. Throwing him down the stairs was symbolism, a precursor for things to come obviously.

Yeah, I'm definitely picking Barrett as the dark horse of the Rumble, his program with Orton is set up well, he's seeming a lot more polished in the ring and confidant on the mic lately - the Rumble would be a great time to pull the trigger on a proper Barrett push.

I would only be against Barrett because they had a heel win the Rumble last year, and don't think a heel has ever won a Rumble 2 years in a row.

I don't see Barrett winning simply because of how badly letting a relative newcomer win went over last year. I think it'll be someone well established this year.

Here's hoping I'm wrong though.

You could well be right, but Del Rio's push last year was handled so badly, as was his character in general, I wouldn't like to see WWE turn away from a Barrett push solely because, like Del Rio was, he's somewhat unproven.

*edit, actually - JeriTroll should win.

It should come down to 2 guys before no. 30 has even come out - as the ten seconds count down, the last two guys eliminate each other and no. 30 is Chris Jericho, who runs down in his shiny jacket, high fives the crowd for about 5 minutes and then gets in the ring to win the Rumble without eliminating or facing a single opponent.

The Del Rio stuff was partly their fault, and Edge's sudden retirement. If they could book worth a damn, Del Rio's year wouldn't have been so topsy turvy.

I would push hard for somebody like Cody Rhodes or Wade Barrett at this point, but my hope is slim. Dolph Ziggler would've been a great choice also but he's already in the status for the title, and Sin Cara is another, but he is out of action injured.

Yeah Barrett is my pick. They've made him look strong recently. He also got eliminated from the 'over the top rope challenge' first which was when I really started believing.

I think this is the general consensus of everyone here.

I made the Rumble. As long I can get in and not Bushwacker's (Sheep Herders) Luke. Hell yea. Now it time for me to go to Main Event WrestlerMania!

Yeah I changed my mind. I want this to happen.

I like this one even more. They look like the Chikarmy!

More CHIKARA/ROH info from last night

-Match started with Briscoes dominating. After a double-stomp on Jig through the table, he made it back in at 19. Then Quackenbush comes out to rally his guys and soon all the Chikara locals, including Saturyne, come out.

Finish was when Jay twisted Wicked's mask and Mark grabbed Saturyne and dragged her in. Fire Ant then springboarded over Mark on purpose to distract him and Jigsaw rolled him up for three to get a title shot in Chicago.

Briscoes cursed and swore after the match.

UMB then introduces himself, puts over Chikara, says they wanted to test themselves against the best in ROH, says Chikara is family and the Briscoes disrespected that family by attacking Wicked's mask. He says the Briscoes need masks themselves to cover their hideous faces and says JigWicked will take the Briscoes tag titles in Chicago. Mix chants for ROH and Chikara.

Chicago is going to be nuts at the end of April anyone else going to make this trip for this awesomeness?

I've been talking about making the trip to a Chicago show for a while. This might be the perfect time. Hopefully they have a show in Dayton the night before like they normally do, so I can make a weekend out of it.

Oh man, ROH will be in Cincy in February. I don't think they've ever been there since I started going to the Dayton shows in 07.

Then we have Smackdown in Columbus on March 13th. Looks like I'll have a busy couple months ahead of me.

ROH/Chikara in Chicago should be a double iPPV, if they want to make money that is.

Also, Kevin Steen is the next ROH Champ.

ROH will probably do what they did with Tyler Black and wait like a year and a half longer than they should to put the belt on him. By that time, fans won't care as much and will be ready to crown a new champ.

What do people think that Cody will be doing at the rumble? His program with Booker seems to have died off and there was no advancement in the Golddust angle as far as I remember.

Do you think he will be in the rumble match or in an IC title match?

Yeah, it's like they completely dropped that. :\

Really hope it picks back up with Goldust at the Rumble.

I think Del Rio's push through the Rumble was fine, even through Mania.

Its just that on paper, it seemed like the WWE was booking a Triple Threat match between Edge/Christian/Del Rio that never really took shape.

Then Edge's retirement curbed that push.. and them having to rush the draft to even out the Smackdown roster...

And yeah...

Unless they are going to rush the Goldust program I think that he will probably be in the rumble. Hope he has a good performance get's in early last's till near the end would be cool. I think they are going to hold off till the Chamber for the match with Goldust. It would be cool if Mania was Dusty and Dustin vs Cody and Flair alothough that's probably not happening.

Is the Chikara invasion going to be on ROH tv? I stopped watching ROH due to the shittiness of their product, but I love Chikara.

Well, by all accounts the ROH TV show is actually doing quite well for itself and gaining some new fans - as such, I seriously doubt they'd want to erode the 'serious, competitive sports' image they've built by introducing a bunch of CHIKARA characters, so I'd expect the CHIKARA angle to be restricted to non-TV tapings and iPPVs.

It should be Dusty & Cody vs Booker & Goldust.

Right now it just seems like a build for the double show in Chicago on April 28th for the ROH Tag Team Titles so I'm assuming no tv. Although CHIKARA does have the season premier coming up and golly jeez I would love it if ROH just happened to show up. A good inter promotional battle for half the year or more would be rad. Plus Vin Gerard siding with ROH and becoming the ultimate CHIKARA rudo would be out of this world!

I wonder witch side EL Generico is going to be?

Also Jericho should come at 30 spend time whit the fans, then once the guys in the ring eliminate each other, he should get all emotional and just go away, leaving the rumble whit no winner.

I think this is the match they will end up going with. Dusty maybe saying that Dustin was an embarrassment for the Goldust gimmick and that Cody is a true Rhodes. I just want to see Dusty hit Flair with the Bionic Elbow one more time!
