Wow. Sony is really putting it to nintendo.

Japan = somewhat close battle of Xbox/Gamecube in 2002/2003 proportions
US = All Sony, all the time
Europe = Nintendo had their time, and Sony is evidently hitting it like The Plague.
Even in smaller countries like Korea and Australia, the PSP is either very successful, or is the most anticipated peice of hardware.

:lol

Your fanboy is showing. Somehow Japan is a "somewhat close battle", but the US belongs to Sony - despite the fact that the DS is beating the PSP in Japan more severely than the PSP is catching up to the DS in the US.

It's cute that the devoted PSP fanboys can latch onto something with a PSP game showing up once on the dailies and all, but lets not get carried away.

Is this PSP Bleach game developed by Treasure too or is that only the upcoming DS game?
Nope, it's developed by Eighting, of Bloody Roar and Naruto GC fame.

September is actually pretty weak for the DS in Japan, if Tomagotchi doesn't catch on like Bandai wants it to.

Wow, Castlevania DS didn't even make the top 20?!? That says a lot about the DS demographic, if you ask me.

No actually, it doesn't, as this has been talked about and explained a thousand times. Try reading plz.

So what world is this exactly?

A little slow, are we Zeo? :)

Yep, I'm talking about Japan. Nintendo's latest report is 3.9 Million systems sold there. The DS is now 900K behind, but shouldn't be for very long.

Actually, it does, because I'm smarter than fanboy retards like you who try to explain away any observations of Nintendo products that you don't like. So what if the DS doesn't have the same percentage of 20-something dudes as the PSP? What does it matter to you? Why does battling that perception even interest you?

Before you answer: I own a DS, and not a PSP. Isn't that amazing, that I could have a perception like that? WOW. Life sure is funny when you aren't fucking dumb!

You didn't understand him. It's not about the DS' owners not buying Castlevania, it's about japanese gamers (on all consoles) not buying Castlevania. It's just not popular in Japan.

Next time try not to be a jerk. And don't try to justify being one because you have a DS. Having something doesn't mean you have the right to troll about it.

Eh, terrene, I'm not sure if you missed this or not, but Castlevania DS was released last week. It was in the Top 20 for the entirety of that week, and placed #10 in the cumulative weekly rankings. It's not exactly surprising that it got knocked off during a new release day.

That's a shame too as the GC is a very good system.

It's almost as if the sales are teaching Nintendo a bad lesson here.

Goddamn... look at Brain Training...

Does anyone know of a title that has had the legs that the Brain Training titles have had in Japan (selling over 20-30k on a weekly basis since release)???

Well, it looks like Jump Super Stars will join the Brain Training games and WE9, as having long legs.

14 NDS Nintendogs: Shiba (Nintendo)
16 NDS Nintendogs: Chihuahua (Nintendo)
20 NDS Nintedogs: Dachs (Nintendo)

:lol Those dogs just keep on going!

Pokemon Red/Green (GB) sold over 20k a week for years.

Woah, that's crazy. All three Nintendogs versions, Wario and Mario back(and of course on top of that the two brain trainings and JSS on no. 1 to 3 :) )!

Wow, PSP went from top dog to pwned in two days. Guess things are back to normal.

September should be VERY interesting however :)

When is that from? Did Castlevania ever show up? I'd hate to see a trio of non-games bury something like CV...but it wouldn't suprise me.

DoS made its appearance in the top 10 and did about as well as AoS did in its first week (15k). The series was never that popular in Japan apparently.

I really can't imagine it doing so well in the US or EU.

Yeah, Super Mario Stadium and Pokemon XD had dull starts, but have longer legs than usual for GC titles this year. If there's nothing else for the holiday, then I take it these games will sell a few thousand a week for the rest of the year.
