Wow. Sony is really putting it to nintendo.

Japan = somewhat close battle of Xbox/Gamecube in 2002/2003 proportions
US = All Sony, all the time
Europe = Nintendo had their time, and Sony is evidently hitting it like The Plague.
Even in smaller countries like Korea and Australia, the PSP is either very successful, or is the most anticipated peice of hardware.

Your fanboy is showing. Somehow Japan is a "somewhat close battle", but the US belongs to Sony - despite the fact that the DS is beating the PSP in Japan more severely than the PSP is catching up to the DS in the US.

It's cute that the devoted PSP fanboys can latch onto something with a PSP game showing up once on the dailies and all, but lets not get carried away.

Nope, it's developed by Eighting, of Bloody Roar and Naruto GC fame.

September is actually pretty weak for the DS in Japan, if Tomagotchi doesn't catch on like Bandai wants it to.

I dunno, it looks okay with Gyakuten and Dino Champ (both being hot properties)... though PSP definitely has the better lineup for once in a long time imo (WE+FF7AC alone probably make it the strongest month for PSP this year)...

You didn't understand him. It's not about the DS' owners not buying Castlevania, it's about japanese gamers (on all consoles) not buying Castlevania. It's just not popular in Japan.

DoS made its appearance in the top 10 and did about as well as AoS did in its first week (15k). The series was never that popular in Japan apparently.

Yeah, Super Mario Stadium and Pokemon XD had dull starts, but have longer legs than usual for GC titles this year. If there's nothing else for the holiday, then I take it these games will sell a few thousand a week for the rest of the year.
