Mario Baseball selling great, and people wonder why Nintendo milk the Mario universe. Mario is a fucking gold mine that's why they milk it to no end.

And thankfully 90% of the games are fantastic, so I dunno why people bitch. They don't have to play the "other" Mario games.

Didn't that second Naruto game get released in the past week or two, too? I find that much more strange. And MMEXE5 only sold 23k at #9? I wonder how much Naruto and FMA did..

I've loved nearly every Mario spinoff. The only ones that were disappointing were those asstrocious Mario Party games (the GC ones, haven't played the 64 versions).

68K is pretty good. I was hoping it would get more, but that's still great.

It looks so pretty in motion.... it is one of the prettiest PS2 games in my opinion. Great art.

I am surprised the Full Metal game only did 37k. You would think the movie hype would help them out a bit more.
 
These companies really messed up big with their anime releases. Most of the anime fans are probably waiting for Jump SuperStars and there was alreasy quite a few anime games released 1-2 months ago.

It's not like these people have a whole lot of money, they are most likely young teens.

It's only 'cause the spin-offs outnumber the "real" Mario games by so much that people bitch. It's like a 10:1 ratio the last two generations. If there were 2 or 3 Mario platformers like there are for Jak, Ratchet, Sly, Maximo, Sonic, hell even Blinx...then I don't think people would mind 10 spin-offs so much.

Didn't look all that hot from the commercials. Yeah the one with Ichigo teaming up with Renji and Byakuya is the PS2 one. I think in Sep there will be a sequel to the Bleach PSP fighting game as well (with a real roster of characters hopefully)

Not in Japan where these sales are from. Anime fans often spend A LOT of money. I mean anime dvds cost $50-60 a dvd with 3eps.

The PSP "bombed" before Sony announced the white PSP. People are simply not interested.
How much is the PS2 LTD?
 
Even with the several PSP releases in the next couple of weeks, I still don't think they'll be nearly as popular as Powerful Pro Baseball, Pac N Roll, or Ouendan.

And Jump! Super Stars is coming in less than two weeks... Oh my.

I wonder how the white PSP, Winning Eleven PSP, and the Final Fantasy movie will fare against the Game Boy Micro and its newly-released games.
 
Personally I just don't see a reason to own a PSP for playing games, and I know quite a few of my friends think the same way too.

This will probably change once Winning Eleven 9 comes out though...

That will be a very interesting week since the GBM will be much cheaper than the PSP.
 
All PSP needs to do is stick around 20k in Japan, with the way its completely dominating DS by some 40-50k a week in the states, it just needs to sustain constant sales in a the much smaller market and before too long it will take over the worldwide lead.
 
Yeah, but the PSP's attach rate is getting lower and lower while the DS's is getting stronger.

The software difference in Japan easily makes up for the difference in America.

You act as if the PSP is the one getting good games in the coming months in America. :lol
