Japanese Developers briefly comment on 2006.

I've lost a bit of respect for Yu Suzuki after reading the article. I personally think for the type of game he created in Shenmue, that the Revolution might be the best platform for other games like that (or, heaven forbid, Shenmue III) given the interactivity you could have with the world and objects, not to mention the minigames and QTEs. The only issue comes about is combat, but I imagine that could be pretty fluid as well if he used a fluid motion system to perform moves with the DPD.

????? WTF? If anything the Rev is much less suited for shenmue than the others.

Hideo Kojima (KONAMI)
I will be releasing some of my drafts, and working on the creation of someone else.

Good ol' Hideo, always ambiguously vague comments.

He's going to release some of his draughts of beer into a glass, and he is going to work on the creation of someone else? What does that mean?

Lost respect for him over what? Because he likes powerful hardware? Given that he's spent a large part of his career on the Model boards, is it really surprising that he likes powerful hardware? I'm looking forward to what Digital Rex can do on the PS3, especially if its Shenmue 3.

As far as arcade ports go, I think Rev is pretty much the only suitable target for a home version of Psy-Phi in terms of interface. VF5, AB Climax, Virtua Tennis 3 and HOTD4 should all going multiplatform between PS3/360 though.

A PC only Kojima game would make GAF explode, hahaha. Can you imagine the graphics he could achieve on the PC?

Too bad it's not gonna happen anytime soon.

Stick to the PS3, Kojima! I'll support you there :)

god, we can only hope. can you imagine the level of immersion that game would have. assuming that digital rex can pump out turbo graphics, but i´d say it´s a given. didn´t Suzuki pretty much take the ¨honor roll¨from AM2 when starting up digital rex?
