I honestly feel the same way.

We all do.

The last time I felt like this was when Fujiko Kojima showed up on indigo la End's MVs.

Yonezu Kenshi to perform the new opening theme song of My Hero Academia, nice! Good series getting a great artist is always good news.
I dig his new promo shot

This is all great, thanks for all the recommendations

You're welcome. I can't remember if you're listening to Suchmos? Cause if you're not then stop everything you're doing.

Oh and of course there's Boku no Lyric no Bouyomi

And SKY-HI, who's a bit more on the pop spectrum at times

Nice!! What city? All of the closest ones are around 6 hours from me so gotta decide if I'm into that. Hate traveling heh.

We're going to Dallas. Luckily for my wife and I it falls on Good Friday so I don't have to take a post day. That makes 5 concerts in 14 for me so needless to say I'm quite thrilled I have a lot of days off between the 5th and the 17th!

Charisma.com「#hashdark」(short edit ver.)
It's actually pretty good. Sometimes I wonder why Charisma.com isn't just a Itsuka solo project.

edit: lol
Pretty cool!

Haven't been listening for a while but I'll give the full album a try.

I think I'm slowly getting into Yumemiru Adolescence thanks to all the great artists writing songs for them
The one by Koyama (from Yabai T-Shirts ya san) is a jam
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxu8WlFUjFk

So is the one by Yoshikatsu from KEYTALK (the song actually sounds like KEYTALK's MONSTER DANCE)

Ditto, but I think a lot of it is that Itsuka is shy in public and in press, so even though she does the lyrics and works on music, Gonchi can be a hype-woman and bring a lot of energy.
Itsuka shy in public? She owns the stage and she is not afraid of doing dumb stuff or interacting with the crowd. I don't know about interviews, but it's true that Gonchi is way better than Itsuka in English.

The duo works really well live IMO, with Gonchi delivering high energy constantly, since her involvment in the songs is quite minimal, but I see how inconsequential Gonchi is for the music side of things.

Still can't stop listening to The Oral Cigarettes' new album. So many of the albums I was looking forward to this quarter have been disappointing but holy shit did this one ever deliver.

Took me some time to get into this album, especially after Fixion that had a lot of high energy songs, but yeah it's amazing

Is it weird to feel nostalgia for a period I didn't experience? Cause whenever I listen to Supercar, Quruli, Triceratops, Grapevine, Number Girl, Sunny Day Service... I want to hop in a time machine and be a Japanese teenager in the late 90s.

honestly i really treasure these supercar albums.

i'm really glad about this thread. I can't wait to go back to japan and browse more book-offs.

I am loving every single minute of SHISHAMO's newest album. Their sound is more varied than ever and this is very welcome, as their previous works kinda lacked in that department.
Favorite songs so far are 恋, 夏の恋人 (both are freaking beautiful ballads), メトロ and 終わり.

CreepHyp's newest single/EP (5 songs so let's call it an EP) is also damn good, as expected. The collab song with Maguro from KANA-BOON is perfection.

I like everything up to Withering to Death but yeah Gauze is a classic. Sadly The Gazette had a pretty similar trajectory as dir en grey, haven't liked their newer stuff much. Division was pretty good though.

I've been listening to a lot of KID FRESINO lately and jjj often appears on features with him and also produces a lot of his tracks.

Kid Fresino and JJJ is a winning combination, I love Salve

I'm a big fan of 環ROY but dude hasn't released something for a long time... Well I guess he's doing featurings every now and then but I want a new album.
That song released last summer with OBKR and Taquwami was a perfect summer jam

EDIT : didn't realize JJJ had a new album out, need to check it.

well this is interesting. Yukawa Shione has an album coming out on Virgin Babylon (teaser) which seems to be minimalist/ambient along the lines of some of Hatis Noit's projects.
