Oh god, that track is heavenly. I'm not sure if I can hold out for the North American release; might just have to take the $35 dollar import charge in the ass whenever they restock.

Damn how'd I miss this thread? So much to go through! I too started with this stuff with Nujabes during Samurai Champloo and then the rest of his albums. Never really branched out though, so this thread is a godsend. The Emancipator stuff so far has been great, can't wait to check out everything else. Thanks, guys.
Sadly no. The only rappers on the album are Cise Star, Substantial, and Pase Rock.
Blu was the first guy I thought of. Dude is so dope over smooth/jazzy beats.

Blu's a good call. really, CL was such an obvious call given how much Pete Rock's shit influenced their sound.

I'd personally want to hear old Lupe rap over some of Nujabes' tracks. I think he would do great with them.

Yep, it's the Hydeout release of it. Needed it to complete my collection.
Nice, I hope you're enjoying the Reach book. In regards to the different versions of Soon It Will Be Cold Enough, the Emancipator self-release has 2 additional tracks "Maps" and "Father King" in a different track order and as Miri said it was released in a slimline packaging instead of the Hydeout style digipak.

I don't really consider Toro y Moi to be instrumental hip-hop (I label the dude as Indie Electro-Pop) but I'm glad there's another fan on GAF. His EP is one of my favorite albums of the year. Sample:
