While that may be true, it intrinsically means that PS4 would be capable to do more than Xbone at 720p. And that would definitely affect the buying decision of certain people especially, since the former is also cheaper.

Well, not to start that debate again, but there's The Order which will be 1920x800, with 280 lines of black pixels.

I have a feeling some of the Japanese launch games will be 720p (I think media for Deep Down and Yakuza have been).

I could have swore that Deep Down is 1080p/60fps

That would probably explain why people are buying 1080p TV's over 720p TV's despite being more expensive

Even though the engine is much more evolved (and we can see it), I bet you can still find some code made by Carmack, and he hasn't touched the engine in 6 years

Oh, sure. I just ment that the engine that they have now can be used to take advantage of more powerful hardware. So it could be that it could currently only run at 720p on Xbox One if they dont cut down on the graphics, or that they wouldnt be able to get 60fps at 1080p. It might not just be a question about optimizing, it could be that the hardware isnt powerful enough, that is what i ment

EDIT: If the engine isnt optimized to take advantage of the eSRAM that Xbox One uses, it could be a question about optimizing in that regards though, that is true.

Yeah, well it's on pre-order but apparently there's some scummy shit going on in Denmark where only 3 major places will be getting orders while the rest are left to fight for scraps or get them elsewhere. So my order isn't even secure.

However no, sticking to BF4 on PC and then I'll get exclusives on the PS4 -- Killzone especially looks great.
