Favorite songs after my initial listen on the stream are Devotion, Running, Night Light and Sweet Talk.

A lot of the tracks on the debut album perfectly hit the sweet spot production-wise. Her voice and the music compliment each other perfectly. Also the influences from the different genres are very cleverly intertwined with each other. Hope she doesn't go unnoticed, it's a great debut.

Running is still my favorite song, the album is indeed great though

Good on first listen. Though I do believe there is some filler in "Still Love Me," "No to Love," & "Swan Song." Those tracks aren't particularly memorable, but that could change on repeat listens. The best songs on here seem to be the songs that were already released. I think "110%" is my favorite tune; the chorus is insanely infectious. I'm actually humming it right now!

Just finished the album, my initial rankings:

Wildest Moments(Song of Forever)
Sweet Talk
Something Inside(the overlapping vocals is pretty damn good)
Taking In Water
Running
110%
Night Light
No To Love(the guy's vocals were a nice change of pace)
Still Love Me
Devotion
Swan Song(the music on this track isn't interesting at all)

Hope the 2 extra tracks drop on youtube. The bottom two will take some time to grow on me, especially Swan Song...wasn't feeling that one at all.

I just went back to a Robyn avvy too...

Like Alanis said. "I am aWare now."

The amount of taste in this thread, I just...

I just can't deal with it

It's like a musical circle-jerk with only the most attractive, intelligent people

I need more Godbyn, even it's a guest vocal on an EP or something, I don't care

Now that I've digested the album a bit more, I can safely say it's the best release of the year so far.

I desperately want to like this, but after listening to the first four songs, I find the album rather boring. I guess I'm too much of the ADHD music type, because the album's not doing anything for me.

I think there's a lull in the middle of the album but if you don't like the first four songs it's probably not for you

Start at the back, then work your way to the middle, and end where you should have began.

I'm finally going in.....

edit: Opening the album with Devotion, Wildest Moments, and then Running. Wow!

edit2: Still Love Me was just okay, nothing special. No To Love immediately picks it back up, love the production/male vocals, the 2nd half is especially good.

edit3: Really liking the 2nd half of Swan Song, Night Light wasn't bad. Loving the production overall.

edit4: OMG Sweet Talk! This track is absolutely sublime. The vocals, the chorus, the production, the breakdown at the end. <3

edit5: Right in to 110%, lawd....

edit6: Taking In Water is slaying me. The vocals, the production, gorgeous. The last 1/4 especially<3

edit7: Something Inside is equally gorgeous. Not sure how I feel about it being the closer. Fantastic debut for the Goddess. #aWAREness will be hard to avoid over the next few months following the release. Hope she comes to the States soon.

Well I'm done with the album and this is my "ranking".

Devotion - OK
Wildest Moments - Flawfree
Running - Eh, OK
Still Love Me - I don't like the beat
No To Love - Sounds like a good sex song :3
Night Light - Good
Swan Song - OK
Sweet Talk - Eh, OK
110% - Eh, OK
Taking In Water - OMG, Love
Something Inside - Good

Overall I liked it. The only one I didn't like was Still Love Me, everything else was good. I'm not sure I'm completely #aWare though. Maybe I have to listen it again.

Oh gosh I need to stream this when my internet stops being awful. I fell in love with her after her track on SBTRKT's debut, Right Thing To Do. She's fucking fantasticccc

#aWAREness is about to spread rapidly.

Hopefully this means we'll get physical distribution here in the States now plus a tour soon.

For a mass market pop album it's good, but if you don't look at it in that context, it's a 7/10. It is fairly diverse, but to me that makes it feel like a collection of singles instead of a well-produced cohesive album. I was hoping for something like Katy B's On A Mission, but good... that didn't happen. The 8.5 from Pitchfork seems more a rating of how hyped the album is than a judgment of how good the music is (this coming from someone who likes PF when they review things that aren't necessarily interesting for their core audience).
