Honestly, I think Kanye is just made that Jesus has billions of people that pray to him, and he doesn't.

What exactly is west and southside exactly? I am just curious because there are wide swaths of the west and southsides that I am sure that Kanye has absolutely no problem losing respect with. I don't get the hate for the guy. I think Kanye's rise really is a parallel with Obama's and I hope represents a good shift for culture in general and the culture that a lot of young black men experience.

No? His whole point is that you can and should be whatever you want. He believes in God and has friends who are atheist, he doesn't have atheist friends because he stopped believing. The two aren't mutually exclusive.

Look... MLK says "I have a dream" and he's talking about something truly great. Kanye says "I have a dream" in reference to MLK and concerning the music industry... thats just fucking retarded. There is more wisdom spit from the mouth's of crackheads at my local gas station.

I actually like his music to a degree, but I have to remember and acknowledge that I'm listening to the ramblings of a self-absorbed, emotional idiot whenever I play his CD. Much in the way that every time I play Bump & Grind I have to acknowledge that I'm listending to a child molestor. Its okay to enjoy someone's music and admit that they're retarded. But don't act like just because their music is good that they can do no wrong.

I used to like Kanye, I really did. But I just can't get around how ignorant this dude is. He REALLY needs to stop digging through crates with the samples and instead just sit down and read a fucking book.
