Didnt realize the new season started :) Great show, and I hate reality TV.

I remember a thread about the first season on the old GAF. This season they have 2 people and new actors. For those that don't know, it's a fake reality show where only the participants don't know that.

Just thought I'd give a heads up.

Redeeming qualities? The fact that the guy thinks he's on a reality show, he gets attached to actors, and then finds out in the end that it's all fake. It's great TV.

Haha, I was going to mention that. Maybe its a nod to the old show.

God bless The Mole, the only decent reality show to date. :(

The first episode is being rerun right now. Holy shit I can't believe the host is Ralph Garman again and he looks totally fucking different.

Edit: Also Ingrid is STACKED. I'd hit it.

Someone fill me in on this. I heard of the name of the show before however never paid attention or seen it...

In the original, the had the entire cast played by actors while one guy was for real. He was duped the entire game, and had no clue till the very end. Its amazing they pulled it off, as the actors struggled to hold their composure or keep their facts straight throughout the series. Good stuff.

I think they are challenging themselves more this time. The first time around they were trying to dupe a guy into thinking it was all real, and they pulled it off. This time everything is bigger. There are more actors, Ralph has to do a faux european accent the whole time, and they have to dupe two people (and Ingrid seems to be very observant). Not only are they doing all this but at the same time they are faking a reality show they are trying to lamblast the genre too, by sticking to super stereotypes and making fun of the fad.

Oh shit it's the end of only the first episode and Ingrid is TOTALLY on to them.

I'm thinking they might have to axe her early instead of trying to keep her until the end. At least they've got Tim to fall back on.

Holy crap! I just caught the repeat... and Ingrid is extremely intelligent. I wonder how they wiggle out of that one.

Interesting theory about Ingrid getting the axe. Didn't think about that. I was surprised when she said it was like the Truman Show.

I wonder what type of reality show they'd spoof next. They've already done the "Big Brother" one, and now they're doing every dating reality show out there.

Thought it was hilarious when they axed all the minorities off the bat, but it prolly tipped off Ingrid.

You KNOW they're going to get through this somehow (otherwise it wouldn't have aired) and you KNOW the producers will just love the excitement and attention that comes from this.

I almost think, because it's so perfect, this might have been staged. Or maybe Ingrid is smart enough to notice that something is amiss, but then human enough to just shrug it off because of the absurdity of a show revolving completely around her.

The first one worked because it had never been done before and "Joe" was constantly catching them off guard. It was the most real reality TV had ever gotten in some ways. I think, now that they're more prepared, it won't be as good. Then agian you've got two of them now, so maybe it'll mix things up. At any rate, I doubt I'll be watching."

I was hoping no one would spot that. ;)

I saw this thread and had to check out the show. Then it pulled me in. Whatever - I guess it'll be my one guilty pleasure.

I must agree with you there. It's the only reality show I can stand watching... but when it started doig all the celebrity versions I got tired of it. Though, I like watching just to figure out what all the clues are, even though I never do.

The first one was a bit too sappy at the end. All the actors fell in love with that goof ball and kissed his ass at the end. :p
