John Candy: I Like Me | Documentary | Amazon | October 10

Was good to see a clip of "Nothing But Trouble" in the trailer. Highly underrated movie.

Planes, trains and automobiles is one of my favourite movies of all time. Not a big Steve Martin fan either, but Candy was great. Such a good movie.

He was so good on SCTV too as part of that amazing cast too. Most people from Toronto would agree, real treasure. but sadly many have never seen his earlier work before he hit it big.

He has such an impressive resume too.

Planes Trains and Automobiles is still my go to Thanksgiving movie and really showcased some range for Candy. Dude definitely could've done dramatic roles if need be.

Even his bit part in JFK is pretty memorable and he straight up looked like Dean Andrews

i think it really says a lot about the man. Its 2025...31 years since his death and so many still have such a strong feeling about him. It's not like he was in a hundred different high-end, big-name movies...but what he was in touched so many..he genuinely seemed like a nice guy....hell, I was young and I still remember finding out that he passed..i was sad. Honestly, probably one of the few 'celebrity deaths' that made me sad.

looking forward to seeing this.

Honestly thought most of his stuff was mid tier. Basically plays himself in every role.

I might watch this though and I'm sure he's a nice guy in real life. Can be interesting to hear about the behind the scenes stuff for sure.
