The worldbuilding was great, but it wrapped John's motivation pretty fucking succinctly. For how minimal that first movie was, it had a genuine drive behind it. Not sure how you repeat that without a wildly different premise.

Yeah, I'm cool with the premise being John Wick surviving an entire country of assassins. Considering a retired Wick basically wiped out an entire crime family in the previous movie it would make sense that someone would want to hire Wick again, and then get pissed when Wick turns him down.

I do hope we get a prequel about "the impossible job" though.
