Incomprehensible movie series. The fetishizing of carefully aiming pistol shots to enemy heads is sickening and not even entertaining. Dud actor Keanu Reeves makes you long for the quality acting in Taken 3.

The 'secret society' thing in the first film is one of the good things about it, without it, it would feel a bit barebones.

John Wick 2 looks to be a stylish action film with great choreography, I look forward to seeing it in the cinema.

Anyway, I hope it doesn't go over the top with the action stuff (explosions/car chases) and it keeps it a bit more simple. The club scene was a great example of that.

The only comparison point between John Wick and Fury Road is that they're both throwbacks to how action movies used to be made. But John Wick was more of a straight up throwback while Fury Road was a throwback that was simultaneously roided up to ridiculous levels.

I saw an advance screening this month and was disappointed. It's still a 7/10, but the first half of the movie is a mess. The second half is pretty great though.

The main villain kind of sucks, though. He has a neat henchman (the deaf chick), but he's pretty boring. The movie has an "empire strikes back" like cliffhanger.

I was getting these vibes a bit, not so much the weak first half but the general feeling this movie is trying to do a whole lot more and I'm not sure if it can justify it outside of the action scenes. Well I'll just have to wait and see for myself.

A movie with characters we've never seen before is always needed.

I will see John Wick 2 at some point but everything in this trailer points towards it being everything a sequel shouldn't be. It's just more, more, more of everything.
