Woo, Chang spy deal for 'Dummies'

John Woo
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

By Liza Foreman
John Woo and Terence Chang's Lion Rock Prods. has reached an agreement with Wiley, publisher of the "For Dummies" series, to create an action comedy titled "Espionage for Dummies."

"Starsky & Hutch" scribe Stevie Long has penned the original script about a high school vice principal who is forced to rely on the "Espionage for Dummies" manual when his identity becomes crossed with that of a U.S. superspy. Armed only with the superspy version of the manual, he must try to save the world.

More than 125 million "Dummies" books have been published. Wiley also has spun off a line of products as well as videos including "Pilates for Dummies" and "Poker for Dummies" that have further established the brand.

"Stevie Long has written a brilliant and funny script with the perfect potential to synergize with the 'For Dummies' products and philosophy," Chang said.

Finally bought a new PSP, but then pushed the demon onto someone else. Jesus.
:lol @ dove cleanup crew.

I could never really decide...

Was Face Off a good movie to you guys?

It was a lil' hard to believe, but I found it enjoyable. Yet every time I see the DVD, I tell myself to put it back.

I was at a crappy Anime store in NYC when it was still open during the era of bootleg VHSs still being a viable business venture and was set to pick up some old Woo flicks. The counter person was all excited to see this and I asked him what his favorite Woo movies were. When he said Face Off, I promptly left the store and never went back.

Honestly, I haven't been impressed w/ his work, ever. Save maybe Hard Boiled, but that movie was so low budget.

It was cool hearing the Wu sound bites in their original form.

By chance, ever see Bullett in the Head?
