For some reason, someone (it was Musashi Wins!) recommended this book back in July, which strikes me as rather bizarre. Anyway, it's out now, and it's gotten some rather effusive praise. Has anyone read it?

I'm in the process of reading it. I'm really liking it so far (though I'm only 30 pages in) and kinda reminds me of a more "teh mature" version of Harry Potter if you will.

I don't think it hits book stores unti Wednesday, but Amazon shipped it to me last week.

Bought it yesterday, and I'm excited to read it. Everything I've heard so far is praiseworthy of it.

I'm 250 pages in and well, it's cetainly unique. I hear it gets better as you go. Reminds me of reading Thomas Hardy or Dickens back in high school. I picked it up because the author did a book signing at my local bookstore and one of my friends said she was really interesting.

I got about 200 pages in and had to drop everything for Mr. King's final Dark Tower book. Now I'm ready to get back to Strange and Norrell, which was highly amusing (in a particularly dry sort of way), chock full of historical detail, and genuinely spooky at times. Obviously I'm nowhere near casting FINAL JUDGEMENT on the book, but so far it's a helluva read. Recommended for fantasy buffs looking for something a bit different, history buffs looking for something a bit fantastic, or any sort of modern fantasy fan. If you liked Sandman, Neil Gaiman has positively raved about the book, so you probably want a copy.
