Why aren't we geting this one?!

I guess Alundra didn't sell very well and considering the similar nature (when it comes to graphics) perhaps Atlus didn't want risks...

The original Alundra sold great. Maybe you're thinking of Alundra2 or Dual Hearts.

damn, those reissue gundam covers are fucking sweet. so's the OYW one for that matter. there are way, way too many gundam games for PS2. =P

My problem with them isn't that there are so many Gundam games, it's that there still isn't a single good one that would be a kickass mecha game even without the license.

Will Namco's take actually make a Gundam game near the quality of something like ZoE2 or Virtua On? Hmm............I want to believe :\

Only if Konami could get ahold of that license and start churning out Gundams with the ZoE2 engine.

Well even without the ZoE2 engine I'd be able to sleep easy if Bandai had gotten someone like Konami to develop it. But Namco is pretty unreliable these days so who knows...

I think the issue is probably that you can't make Gundam do anything interesting in a game without compromising their "rules" or something. It's probably like Gran Turismo and car damage. I imagine it wouldn't be very exciting to pilot an actual Gundam based on the games.

I'd want it on the ZoE2 engine for the look. I don't get why no other mech games try for that look.

Is Federation vs. Zeon any good? I'm looking at some sales charts and noticed it sold over 800k.

What's wrong with Capcom's Gundam fighters (DC/PS2/GC)? Aren't they generally considered to be pretty good?

Not really. They're good Gundam games, but take away the license and the actual gameplay is pretty shallow and weak. I'm not saying there hasn't been decent Gundam games in the past, just there hasn't been a >8/10 "damn this is a great game" Gundam game on PS2.

Yeah, Konami's awesome these days. Great solid consistant titles like Nanobreaker and Suikoden 4. I bet the upcoming Gantz PS2 game will ROCK! Oh and let's not forget those excellent Konami Getbackers games and those STELLAR Shaman King games on the GBA. :lol :lol :lol

Ugh, right. Getbackers is one of the suckiest games I've "played" this gen. Indescribably bad gaming experience.

:lol :lol :lol

Hey Vic, since I hooked you into the thread, any comments on the following games (hint hint)?
