Although it is NINTENDO DS for which sale on December 2 has pressed, an advertisement offensive continues still more. The advertisement of DS is carried by the body of the train which runs Yamanote Line. Attention is likely to be attracted by the touch broken strangely [ idea ]. On both sides of the central big window, a picture which is slid on a touch pen is drawn on the belt in the LOGO "NINTENDO DS", and right-hand side by right and left at the bottom of a button besides a cross key or the ABXY button, and the belt of green. The poster of "Touch" is also carried in the direction of an end on either side. Although there is often a train which carried out the decoration gaily, if で良 [ this / be / common / it / try ] apparently, is it 、 って奴? I want to hear that it is touch whether it does so far, and there is a public-relations budget how much.

In all of those pictures a girl is playing. Only confirms what i've been saying all along. The third pillar is supposed to get more girls (and other non-gamers) into handheld gaming.

Yeah I agree. The 'gamer' may choose PSP....but I think the DS will be the female gamers console of choice, certainly from what I'm hearing it's proving quite popular with the ladyz.

I just feel sorry for the poor lass sitting on the train station playing her DS when Pictochat gets triggered and a large hairy cock is drawn with OMGHI2U SUXXORS MY COCKRS!!! from a figure in the shadows.

O shit dood you just gave a million doujin artists ideas

It's kinda funny how much they trust people in Japan. In the US those DS systems would be bolted to something.

This looks like a successful marketing campaign to me =) Oh, and I particularly like the train ads.

Nothing funny, most of the Japanese I've met in my multiple trips were considerate, comparing to any other countries.

:lol I love it!

That giant Utada picture is just scary. :( It's like something out of The Ring. Mainly because of the brightness from the picture being taken and you can't see her nose all that well.

Indeed! My sister actually really enjoys Feel the Magic (Outside the real perverted minigames) and does have an interest in getting a DS were it not so big or expensive :shrugs: Another example would be my friend's mom enjoying the Mario64DS minigames. XD

I don't think most thieves are going to go out of their way to show their rudeness.

In other words: what you said is totally unrelated.

nobody steals anything in Japan. You can forget a suitcase of luggage at a spot in the train station and the next day it'll still be there.

In comparison, I dropped my camera case at the Baltimore Convention Center a few years ago, and in 5 minutes it was gone.

Yes, my digital camera set was left (accidentally by my son) on a JR when I visited the Toyko Dome (for Masked Rider world) the last time I took him there, the set was retrieved by a staff at Suidobashi station (which is 45 minutes trip from where my son left it off). I was very happy with the people there.

I agree this system is a seller for the ladies. My friend and his wife came over for thanksgiving and she played my DS and they bought one the next day.

They're attached to the woman -- check the strap coming out from under the DS in a few pics. Not airtight security, but...

I think it's meant to keep PSP fanboys from stealing the women.

Game WATCH has some more pics...

They didn't take my inefficient american umbrella.
Forgot it in front of a Book Off, went back a day later and got it.

worth mentioning that the yamanote-sen (the train line where the ad is appearing) is one of the busiest and most important in tokyo... it travels around the city center and hits all the big stations. it's also not a subway as it's not underground, meaning the ad is visible most of the time.

I love the subway one, it looks like DS is getting more popular over there. Hopefully the launch is successful and DS is.

I think this will be good for Nintendo, but also for video games. If you enjoy games, you should be rooting for the DS to do well.

OMG, I can play too! I left my window open in my apartment window wide open (note: my apartment is on the first floor, and most adults are tall enough to see into it) for a whole weekend, and nothing was stolen. America = the safe. Waps, please, it's just a DS advert thread.

That's why they have so many friggin' vending machines all over. Very little vandalism and very little petty theft.

Personally, I'm just really happy that I instantly recognized that train in the first post as the Yamanote Line. :) And as someone else already noted, the Yamanote is REALLY busy. It has to be one of the busiest train lines in the world.

You obviously haven't seen them around a buffet, viscious little bastards.

They should just rename it Game Girl. Hell, my sister's playing it right now.

She stopped Panzer Dragoon (Orta) to play this. She LOVES Panzer Dragoon.

Time for a shinjuku Vs Yamanote line thread!

I got one too. On my first (but hopefully not only) trip to Japan some years ago, I left some spare change in a vending machine after getting my iced coffee, make my way to the subway (quite a ways away) and some girl comes running up to me all the way from the vending machine to hand it back to me. Nice people.
