The number of licenses in the game means there's something for everyone (almost), so it would be a shame if we all buy it and it sucks, regardless of the sales figures.

I've seen plenty'o'scans, it has to be good. Really. It can't go wrong now. The game is basically a multiplayer beat 'm up with awesome anime characters and they all have special moves. How can it possibly be bad? Developers really need to make some huge mistakes for the game to suck.

yeah. maybe I should say Nintendo+Dragonball+Naruto+cardboard DS box= sales.
No matter what the gameplay at this point. Im not saying the game will be crap

Well, a number of things could go wrong. Like poor control and a very limited number of moves, both of which are quite essential in a fighter. Though lack of moves didn't really hurt most people's enjoyment of Super Smash Brothers.

Maybe none of it is voiced. Maybe if you decide to play it on your own the AI is awful. Maybe the mechanics don't favor actual strategy but just pure button mashing.

There's tons of things which could make this game awful, despite the many popular characters. We'll see I suppose.

There's only been one video of this, but I can't remember where it came from, but it was taken at the World Hobby Fair along with IGN's little hard to see snippet of the trailer feed. The game didn't look too great in it at the time, the animation wasn't too detailed, and this was probably just the camera, but the colors were quite washed out. I don't remember any sound in the video either, so you couldn't quite sample that. That was quite a while ago though, when there were only the three sets characters (DBZ, One Piece, Naruto), so things could have changed by now.

Anyone who played World Fighters (The SMB clone with Optimus Prime, SNake, Master Higgins, ect) knows how this game can go wrong. Worst $65 I ever spent. At least this game won't cost me as much.
