WWE does the vast majority of their business in the US. They are not an Indian company.

Jinder being popular in India means almost nothing for his appeal in their home market here.

WWE should certainly target India as they are pretty popular there in general, and Jinder is a fine way of doing that.

I dunno man. All I know is Jinder is a fine heel, but it sure as fuck is not good for their overall business. Maybe I'll be proved totally wrong. But probably not.

No way fans are going to turn it off. Everyone seems to be thinking Smackdown will be a re-do of the amtch so I'm sure viewership will be up for Tuesday. I pray it's down again, even if they re-do the match. 1. Because I hope fans actually follow through on being pissed at the product 2. So WWE creative stops thinking this WCW level carny bullshit works

What's frustrating is you can make not great workers have good and compelling story lines. Love it or hate it, Jinder is doing a good job as a heel controlling the belt. The issue is more having Corbin chase him, it's the wrong fucking time for that.

Jinder is fine. They need to have amazing stories for him, and amazing talent working with him. They are doing neither.

Lana's constant screaming was terrible. And it's probably going to be something that happens in quite a lot of matches.

Also her finisher is really good and looks great but they killed it already in the first match by having Naomi kick out of it.

very late to this but yes he's V good and I wish he got more of a reaction back at rev pro. his look is also vastly better than it used to be.

They're not doing a MITB ladder match on a random TV episode, and frankly if anyone sincerely thinks that, they deserve to be constantly disappointed and made fun of by the company

Yeah, I think we're agreeing but in different ways. Jinder reminds me of that classic 80/90s heel where he's not the best wrestler, but he got the belt and he's going to do what he can to keep it ala Jarret or Honkey Tonk.

The woman's roster is in desperate need of talent infusion or to be frank its own TV show (so both limited rosters can be combined).

I don't view what happened in the ppv last night to be so bad by itself, but it is troubling as a part of a bad trend starting with sending Sasha to 205 in a flawed attempt of saving 205. I'm hoping the women's tournament can reverse that trend.

In another era, back when WWF/WWE actually tried and knew how to book pro wrestling, Jinder could easily be a very compelling monster heel.

The problem is I think all the women coming in will out work the current roster sans Becky & Charolette. I honestly don't think any other woman wrestler on the main roster has shown they are on the level of those two.

I think Sasha can be sloppy (but Charlotte's matches recently haven't been that great from I've seen truth be told), but she's definitely in the same tier as both Becky and Charlotte.

Bayley is the one I'm not impressed with, she has Dean Ambrose tier offense.

After 15 years as the biggest babyface in wrestling history, Hulk Hogan turned heel at Bash At The Beach in an angle that will likely be remembered for years to come. Hogan was revealed as the third man of Kevin Nash and Scott Hall's team. The heat for Hogan's heel turn, with trash literally flooding the ring, was as intense as anything ever seen in U.S. wrestling. Hogan then gave one of his best promos in years to end the show. At one point, a fan (definitely not a plant) even ran into the ring and got dropped by Nash and kicked by Hall. The plan from here seems to be a worked promotion vs. promotion feud, similar to the NJPW vs. UWFI angle from last year. The new group will be called the New World Order. It's believed that Jeff Jarrett and Ted Dibiase will join the group when their WWF contracts expire and WCW will be making plays for any top WWF stars (such as Davey Boy Smith) who's contracts are nearing their end.

Hogan agreed to do the heel turn 11 days before the show, mostly because he he had already done everything he could in WCW as a babyface. Hogan's contract was due to expire in a few months and with WCW doing record TV ratings and strong PPV buyrates without him, his negotiation leverage was weakened. They don't really need him as the top babyface anymore. So with the Outsiders story being arguably the hottest angle in WCW history, Hogan figured he could turn himself heel and become the centerpiece of the company again, and he did just that. But it doesn't come without risks. Hogan's merch sales are sure to go down and he was still a strong draw as a babyface. But the angle is so hot that it's likely to spark interest in a big way.

There was legit concern that Hogan may change his mind at the last minute, as he's been known to do and the Plan B was for Sting to turn heel if that happened. The original plan had been Lex Luger or Savage turning, but since so many people had already speculated those 2 names, WCW wanted a shocking ending so they would have gone with Sting. Hogan and Bischoff were negotiating the details of the heel turn as late as the afternoon of the show. The plan was kept secret from most people, although in the days before the show, most people in WCW strongly suspected it would be Hogan, but no one knew for sure. Scott Hall was telling people that he didn't know until 2 hours before the match, but Dave doesn't buy that. From here, Dave recaps Hogan's career, mostly the early years when he worked as a heel before he became a big name on the national scene.

What he did when he was 22 shouldn't be what he does when he's 33, and in fact it's possible that refusing to not maintain that consistency is why many people who work in CZW and in wrestling for over a decade, for some reason, have trouble walking or even living in their 40s/50s
