Hi there,

So I have a 1.5 PSP and have been walking around with some WoW themed backgrounds for some time now. Time to change 'm! I remember that it would damage your PSP if you would use the resolution that the PSP is capable of for wallpapers. However, I also remember that with the introduction of 2.0, everybody got acces to custom wallpapers and they could also use the PSP's native resolution. Can anyone explain me what's the deal on all this? Is it possible for 1.5ers to use the 480x272 resolution for backgrounds yet? Can I update my PSP to 2.0, change the backgrounds, and then downgrade again?

I didn't. I thought I would just get ignored there since it's way to big and everyone is just talking about homebreww and pirating games. I made a reply to that thread after your reaction, and noone has replied yet. It turns out someone else had a similar question about this matter as well. Is this enough justification for a thread? Or will this be the message that kills the server?

You must have 2.0 for the backgrounds, if you change back somehow (hello brick!) you lose the function.

Me, I have like 130 pictures formatted for backgrounds on there, currently Loco Roco.

You won't brick you PSP by downgrading. And I'm talking about installing my backgrounds, and THEN downgrade again. Will the pics be set back to normal or something?

An option needs to be enabled in the system settings for it to use backgrounds. Besides, you couldn't change it back unless you got 2.0 again.
